They photo shopped the tears out of that picture; I saw it three days ago in their local paper.

Curious to hear more detail. So far we pretty much just have the Grandmother's summary. (Who seems convinced it was done intentionally and was racially motivated.)

The other kids say it was an accident. Am guessing/hoping we will hear more on the event....
Yes the title literally sent a chill down my spine, but kids do some weird fucked up shit. Since the details are sketchy, I'm going to wait on this one.

Um yeah scratch that. Slattery said the children were in a backyard when some of the teens got on the table and grabbed a rope that held a tire swing. It’s not clear how the rope got around the child’s neck, but Slattery said the teens pushed him off the table. No adults are believed to have witnessed the incident.

An expert on abuse who spoke to the boy at the hospital said he swung from his neck three times before being able to remove the rope, Slattery said. None of the teens came to his aid, she said.

    The first sentence reads...

Teenagers in NH taunted an 8 year old bi-racial boy with racial slurs and then pushed him off the picnic table with a rope around his neck.

So if you are going to disagree with me - at least disagree with me about something I actually said. That is a reasonable request I feel.

I know we like to believe this kind of behavior is rare - but it isn't. Children call each other all kind of names (including racial epitaphs) and do all kind of horrible things to each other.

So while I of course don't condone it - this doesn't surprise me in the least.
They were raised by someone like trump. Sounds like something he would do as a kid.

The facts are sketchy - but I hope some severe discipline is incurred here before these kids end up killing someone.
I agree. This crime reminds me of a storyline from "It". The black child is a club member not because he stutters, etc

    Because he is black.

There is a virulent form of racism in the NE, near areas of entrenched white poverty.

I hope to God this poor little boy is not brain-damaged.

The offenders need to be in custodial care, whatever else happens to them. They cannot go on living with the adults who inculcated these revolting ideas in their heads.

From the Chief of Police. Yesterday. Will wait for the results of the investigation...

"I know what is being reported has caused not just my community to ask questions but the entire nation wants to know more. I am sorry that I am not able to provide any additional information to all of you but wanted to place a copy of the press release that was sent out today to all of you. I know this will not answer all your questions but I want to let all of you know we have taken this incident serious since it was reported and continue to take it serious and I have faith that the investigators are doing all they can to make sure all aspects of this case is investigated.

    SPECIAL PRESS RELEASE

The Claremont Police Department is investigating the report of a juvenile who was injured on August 28, 2017. The investigation revealed that an 8 year-old child was injured while he was on private property off of North Street in Claremont, NH. The injured child was treated and released from an area hospital for injuries that he received during this incident.

Claremont Police detectives assigned to this case are taking all steps possible to investigate the incident and have been doing so since the police became involved in this matter in late August. The investigation principally revolves around the conduct of people who are 14 years-of-age or younger. Because this case involves juveniles, disclosure of information is dictated by NH RSA-169.

I want to assure everyone in our community, our neighboring communities, and the nation at large that we take all reports made to this agency very seriously, and will complete our investigations in a thorough and professional manner. Furthermore, if we receive information that a crime has been committed and that the actor was substantially motivated to commit that crime because of hostility towards the victimís religion, race, creed, sexual orientation, national origin or sex, we will seek remedies through enhanced sentencing laws (NH RSA 651:6) or through civil action which can be taken by the NH Attorney Generalís Office (NH RSA 354-B:1).

    Mark T. Chase
    Chief of Police

    I did not say that.

My point is that too few parents actually do that parenting thing.

Also, I did not realize that the Internet was part of the "liberal" media. I always thought it was a place full of ideas, albeit most of them, stupid.....
    Thanks from Madeline

You allow your 14 year old to be parented by other 14 year olds, and not by you, that child is 99% likely to become a savage.

There's even a famous book on this subject:

It wasn't that long ago, a group of HS kids from a pricey Cleveland area suburban city fooled an autistic child into submitting to being dosed with a bucket full of human waste.

Money does not guarantee quality children.
