Both women actually suffered harassment by Weinstein. Allegedly.

Going public, for them, was a different decision than simply condemning sexual harassment as it may have happened between OTHER people.

I think they showed great courage and strength of character.

'I was molested and passed around': Corey Feldman describes his ordeal at the hands of Hollywood pedophile ring and says Corey Haim was just eleven years old when he was first raped

Former child star Corey Feldman said that he was molested repeatedly by men who would pass him and other minors around

He said that when he was 15 he was being abused by a man who was actually employed by his own father at the management company he ran

Reveals that Corey Haim was raped when he was just 11-years-old

Feldman says the abuse he and Haim suffered was widely known

Haim would struggle with drugs up until his death in 2010 at the age of 38

Feldman shot to fame in his teens thanks to his roles in Goonies and Stand by Me

You are correct. I imagine the problem with kids in Hollywood is much worse than either of us can imagine.

Good on Corey Feldman for speaking up. His abusers belong in prison.

Is that why they show hate against the GOP and Trump?

I don't blame his victims. I blame a media who knew what he was doing and looked the other way. I blame the politicians who took his money. And I blame the other powerful people in Hollywood who accepted his behavior.
Thanks from Madeline, sweettee and THOR

I imagine Weinstein's behavior is/was fairly common in the entertainment industry. Individual actors may have felt powerless to stop it, but SAG never was.

    And we aren't.

This one's not exactly true. People didn't boycott Chik-fil-A because the owner didn't support gay marriage. There are many people who don't agree with gay marriage. They boycotted because the owner was contributing business income to lobbying groups that were trying to enact laws preventing gay marriage.

The Chic-Fil-A boycott was successful. The fiasco started in June 2012. One month later, Chick-fil-A released a statement "Going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena." Subsequent tax returns showed that Chik-Fil-A had ceased all contributions to anti-gay marriage lobbying groups, and the vast majority of discriminatory non-lobbying groups.

Of course. But we can save a little scorn for his enablers too.
