I know that estimates are if the infrastructure was in place to USE the Flue Gas CO2, there isn't enough for the current CO2 demand, and when you add the Algae Tube fuel production, it isn't near enough!

Read the Links I've provided above!

    Life is good!

Wise Use of resources makes life good, the people propserous, and the land clean!

CO2 is not a pollutant, it is a Resource!

That's why we burn so damn much electricity making it from air!

Ever been to China? If so I doubt you'd be pressing them as an example. The cleanup of US air being stopped is not an asset to be celebrated and certainly the air in China is why.

Anyhoo, you said you were glad they were using solar because it would make things more expensive for them. You did not say you were glad because it would mean less pollution.
China is adding 400% more NEW coal generation than they are new solar generation, they will have a lot more pollution not less.

Shares in coalmining? There is no sane reason to support coal mining, so financial interests may be the root of the bias.

Why China is winning the clean energy race

U.S. politicians have been warning for years that America couldn't let China win the clean energy race. That's exactly what has happened, with the trends most stark in electric cars, solar and nuclear energy.

Why it matters: Building for the last decade, these trends have accelerated in the last couple of years. Politicians and business leaders said America's dominance in this space would bring jobs to the U.S. and security to our clean-energy resources, and now both of those goals are at risk.
There is an excellent graph showing lots of neat data in the link below. The way it is formatted I would need to do a screen grab and I'm too lazy right now, but click the link.

China is adding 400% more coal generation than solar PV generation in the next few years. How is increasing coal generation by 40% add up to 'winning the green energy race?'

Do you not understand why China is adding more generation of all types than the US is? Duh, the US doesn't need any new generation capacity, it has excess capacity now. They US has greatly reduced coal use in the last couple of decades while China is adding new coal generation capacity everyday.

Take your first meaningless chart, China is adding a bunch of coal powered electric cars and is building 40% more coal plants to supply them. Environmentally they would be better off with high efficiency gasoline fueled cars.

The last chart on nuclear power doesn't pass the smell test.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_power_in_China

China's National Development and Reform Commission has indicated the intention to raise the percentage of China's electricity produced by nuclear power from the current 2% to 6% by 2020 (compared to 20% in the United States and 74% in France).[5][not in citation given] Nuclear power contributed 3% of the total production in 2015 – 170 billion kWh.[

I don't really understand the point you are trying to make, but yes, I've been to China a lot of times. Within a half an hour of hitting the ground your throat starts getting raw. That is why I am calling BS on these claims that China is winning any kind of environmental race, it's horrible there. I work mostly in southeast China and everyone there bitches about how much worse it is in Beijing.
