    Trump's Approval Ratings Keep Sinking

    President Donald Trumpís approval ratings have dipped in every state ó even ones that won him the election. Two polls tracking Trumpís approval rating since January show the president has grown increasingly unpopular in the eight months heís been in office, even in deeply red states and swing states.

    According to a Morning Consult survey of more than 470,000 Americans, a majority of voters in 25 states and the District of Columbia view the president unfavorably ó including states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, which swung from Barack Obama to Trump in 2016 to give him the Electoral College votes to win. These results are consistent with findings from a separate survey of 15,000 rural Americans conducted by Reuters/Ipsos, which found Trumpís approval ratings slipping in areas largely considered to be the archetype of Trump country.

    To be sure, deep pockets of Trump support still exist: Rural America still supports Trump more so than any other region in the country, and majorities in deeply red places like Alabama, Wyoming, and West Virginia still view Trump favorably.

    Even among Trumpís most consistent areas of support, thereís a counternarrative at play. West Virginia, for example, has deep and seemingly unwavering support for Trump. But while his approval ratings have been steady in the state, his disapproval ratings are on the rise. Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin, whoís up for reelection in 2018, also has had a higher approval rating than Trump throughout 2017.

    Not really surprised by those numbers. Looks like only his small hard core base is still with him.

    Exclamation Poll: Trump approval falls in every state

    Poll: Trump approval falls in every state | TheHill
    By Rebecca Savransky

    "President Trump's approval rating has fallen in all 50 states since his inauguration in January, according to a new poll."
    "Some of those states include those Trump carried during the 2016 election, such as Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa and Pennsylvania."
    "Fifty-one percent of voters in Nevada and Arizona also disapproved of Trump's job performance."

    =================================

    One thing people have to bear in mind is that no one is culpable for those downward spiraling numbers except for Trump. He has to own that as it is due to his own doing. Even with a Republican Senate and House he has not been able to come across with the big promises he made during the election such as on his healthcare plan and the building of that very divisive wall among other things. His numbers can only go even lower at this point with little hope of them rising to the level he and Republicans would be comfortable in having.

    But not a mermaid.

    Sadly, the man you defend so vociferously seems incapacitated by his own stupidity.
