The people elected to run the affairs of PR are doing a poor job. That's an obvious observation.

So let them die? Damn! If it wasn't for the fact they are AMERICANS. Talk about an inconvenient truth!

I will never understand this concept of "You are US Americans, citizens..and therefore you cannot vote for the US president."

ME EITHER! We needed them for decades for military readiness and purposes. We didn't as of about 15 years ago. The relationship has been contentious since. I'll dig down later and see what I can find out. It goes way back. Spanish American war? Did we keep them around as some kind of bulwark in the Carribean against Fidel? I really don't know. That's speculation.

When so many of the NG, truck drivers and healthcare aren't showing up to work, who's that on?

    The people of PR.

Stop acting like a 12 year by posting "so let them die".

Act like you have some common sense

This is true, but they violated every law pertaining to securities, good government, etc. for decades, and Obama's DOJ, as well as Dubya's, did nothing.

The people of Puerto Rico are American citizens, and withdrawing disaster aid from them would create an enormous 14th amendment, equal protection violation. Trump does not have the power to do what he has threatened.

His reluctance to assist these people creates a public relations nightmare, in which every death, injury, disease, loss occurring there is his personal responsibility.

Congress acted stupidly. The people of Puerto Rico could not refuse aid now, no matter what the terms. Making this a loan and not a grant is impossible, as the borrower is acting under extreme duress and has absolutely no apparent ability to repay.

Puerto Rico represents the US in the Caribbean. If we let PR fail, it will be a failure of our system, not just Puerto Rico's.

Yes we did. Puerto Rico was our answer to communism in the Caribbean. Much of what's wrong with PR is our doing.

700 billion to military, tax cuts for himself and the rich that will cost billions in lost revenue, millions of dollars for his wife to stay in NY, all his golf outings, trips to his residence.... fuck you talking about not having any money.

    Such a complete POS
    Thanks from jacobfitcher and Dragonfly5
