That puts my house 20 minutes to the new beach and still 20 minutes to the ski hills.

Sorry for the other 6,000,000,000 of you fuckers. Us, Alaska, and Scandinavia are just gonna let this shit play out.
And the models said in 1988:

Global Warming Has Begun, Expert Tells Senate - NYTimes.com

Mathematical models have predicted for some years now that a buildup of carbon dioxide from the burning of fossil fuels such as coal and oil and other gases emitted by human activities into the atmosphere would cause the earth's surface to warm by trapping infrared radiation from the sun, turning the entire earth into a kind of greenhouse. If the current pace of the buildup of these gases continues, the effect is likely to be a warming of 3 to 9 degrees Fahrenheit from the year 2025 to 2050, according to these projections.
Do you think we are trending toward those numbers?

This is a more recent estimate.

The researchers found that the low range of temperature increase — between 1 and 3 degrees Celsius — offered by historical observations did not take into account long-term warming patterns. When these patterns are introduced, the researchers found that not only do temperatures fall within the canonical range of 1.5 to 4.5 degrees Celsius but that even higher ranges, perhaps up to 6 degrees, may also be possible.
Over time, the science does evolve and progress along with technology and predictions are improved and become more accurate.

This whole short article is worth reading along with the audio clip. But it's just a bunch of pin headed liberals looking for money.

Faith in models can always be justified through imagination, but they can only be proven over time by measurement.

"Are they predictive?" is the only thing worth a damn. The 1988 predictions seem to have failed, so why should we believe the 2017 ones?

Because the science and technology has improved and evolved. And while the models haven't been perfect, they've been damn close.
