I'm not much of a coffee drinker. But if I smell it brewing, I have to have a cup. I drank it routinely 'when I lived in winter'.

Still like it after a dessert when out.

Seems to me like a PITA way to make coffee. Does it taste different?

I barely remember coffee made with a percolator, which is what everyone drank before Mr. Coffee. I don't remember it tasting better.
I've never used one myself but 2 office neighbors had them and offered me a cup. Tasted good.

    Still like percolated over drip!

    It's a puzzler, ain't it?

He ends up hitting a drive with a teaching driver into a machine blowing it to bits. He dead panned it as if it was a normal thing to do in your garage. The person likely thought he was making a statement about politics but the only thing I heard while watching it was the echo coming from his ears as wind whistled through his empty cranium.
The Keurig symbolizes something to consumers. WTF that is, and why coffee is so fraught with emotion anyway, mystifies me.

To my eye, the Keurig looks like a $200 pet rock.

I watched two games a week until they went political. I watch sports to get away from politics and news. When I read sports in the newspaper, I want to see the scores and the plays, not who is pissed off this week. Keurig is my go to when I want coffee fast. My French Press is for when I want good coffee. If you want to consistently make excellent coffee with the French Press the secret is to go by weight. Weigh your beans before grinding, then weight your water when you pour if from your electric kettle (or whatever you use to heat your water).

Here's a tip for Keurig users. Register your brewer on Single Serve Coffee Makers & K-Cup Pods | KeurigŪ, I know you are saying why? When you register a brewer on Keurig they instantly send you an email that has a code to get 4 boxes for the price of two plus free shipping. *Pro Tip* You only get a coupon code for the first five brewers you register. Just use a new email after five. If your like Hillary and myself, this isn't a problem as you have your own email server to just add a new account.

Or, should I say "overcharge" for their machines and their coffee.

Starbucks is a bigger rip off, but Keurig is on the list...
I pay about .30 cents for a pod at Costco. That's a good price for a cup of coffee. Just as good as starbucks and Keurig.

Currently the Kpods from Camerons and San Francisco Bay are 100% compostable. No plastic at all with those.
