Shipping guns from Mexico to the US is like sending water to the ocean.

State gun laws mean nothing. Got a car, buy a bus ticket or a train ticket and your state's gun laws mean shit. You need uniform gun laws across the country.

Pretty easy to buy a gun at a Reno gun show and just bring it into California in ones car..

    (Depends of the price.)

Maybe it's profitable to move some guns to the north...

RED BLUFF, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities said three people have been killed in shootings at multiple locations in rural Red Bluff, Northern California. Students were also shot and wounded at an elementary school.

The suspected shooter is dead, police said. Tehama County Assistant Sheriff Phil Johnston told a TV station in the city of Chico that officers are investigating at least five crime scenes in and around the school in Rancho Tehama Reserve, about 130 miles north of Sacramento.

Jeanine Quist, an administrative assistant with the Corning Union Elementary School District, said no one was killed at the school but a "number" of students were shot and wounded.

Brian Flint told the Record Searchlight newspaper in the city of Redding Tuesday that his neighbor, whom he knows only as Kevin, also stole his truck.Flint said he and his roommate told authorities that their neighbor was acting "crazy" and threatening them. Flint said the neighbor had been shooting "hundreds of rounds" from large magazines.

I would agree with you on that, its the Freedom State. I have seen people open carry in Costco there (which is legal if they have a concealed weapons license).

Getting a gun across the Mexican border would not be easy nor smart. They do random shakedowns . You do not want to get caught with a weapon in Mexico. Jail time.

Well, it's possible that the lunatic has a busy schedule, and didn't want to waste valuable time reloading between firing shots at figments of his imagination.
