How come today is the first day I've heard about that? A lot of people with agendas didn't want that information to be widely known.
Who are these people you are referring to?

And, why do you find that information relevant in this case.

The bullet ricocheted off the ground and traveled about 80 feet before hitting Steinle. In other words, he was not aiming at her nor did he want to kill her.

This wasn't a craven murder committed by someone who is a blight on our culture because of his immigration status.

This was an accident, like all the other accidents committed by fools in our grotesquely gun-glorifying country.

But it was hard to make Zarate out to be a poster child of what's wrong our broken immigration system if you mention that it was an accident. So that gets left out.

There are too many guns in this country. That's what the problem was here. Too many guns available to people who lead rough lives (not to mention all the guns available to children and to people who carry their guns around in the dark and shoot without identifying the target). This had nothing to do with his immigration status.

People will take satisfaction in making him serve his time and deporting him again. But get rid of all the people here illegally and that will not make a dent in the number of gun crimes and gun accidents in this country.

Very questionable. And so? He still pulled the trigger, was charged with first degree murder, second degree murder, and manslaughter, as well as assault with a semi-automatic weapon, and they acquitted him on all those counts. He was only convicted of weapons possession.

People are convicted of involuntary manslaughter in this Country everyday.

Why do you thin Zarate was given a pass?

    Why do you say that?

Do you think Zarate was "glorifying" the gun when he shot Steinle?

    Why is that irrelevant?

Zarate was in this Country illegally.

His criminal legal status was protected by SF sanctuary city policies.

Steinle would still be alive today if our immigrations laws would have been upheld.

    This comment makes no sense.

The weapon that Zarate had was stolen from law enforcement.

Even if ONLY law enforcement possessed weapons in this Country it would not have save Kate Steinle's life.

However, upholding our immigration laws would have.

This case is not about guns.

Again, the weapon was stolen from law enforcement.

It is a case about our immigration laws and sanctuary cities.

Clearly a verdict based on race/ethnicity.

And this was all over the SF news stations....yesterday. I'm thinking he might see the inside of a Fed penitentiary, though. His prior arrest was over a gun too.
    Thanks from HCProf
