WASHINGTON — Michael T. Flynn, President Trump’s former national security adviser, told a former business associate that economic sanctions against Russia would be “ripped up” as one of the Trump administration’s first acts, according to an account by a whistle-blower made public on Wednesday.

Mr. Flynn believed that ending the sanctions could allow a business project he had once participated in to move forward, according to the whistle-blower. The account is the strongest evidence to date that the Trump administration wanted to end the sanctions immediately, and suggests that Mr. Flynn had a possible economic incentive for the United States to forge a closer relationship with Russia.

Want to bet Trump and his gang have investments in those plans to build nuclear power plants in Russia.

Well I guess too that people keep forgetting that it was Congress who put forth the additional sanctions bill, which Trump opposed.

And as far as I know, still have not been put in place.

After a year of investigation, all the evidence against Flynn is relevant to turkey, which is why he accepted the deal for lying to the FBI... So, the star witness is on trial for what amounts to perjury.

That's also part of what trump campaigned on, working with other countries instead of acting as world police...

There's nothing illegal, but you go with the nameless source again, you'd think after all the failed anonymous sources so that it SOUNDS LIKE what is revealed is something illegal.

Then the guy that got fired, every piece of evidence he's touched is tainted now, so that's 1 man year of efforts down the drain.

Starting to seem like the investigation is running out of steam and nothing on trump except for insinuation.

What is laughable is, Trump promised to rip up the sanction if Russia helps him to get elected (and likely some other treasonous shit) then Congress comes up with more sanctions for helping Trump win the election and Trump is pressured into signing them. I wonder when Putin is going to cut his losses and admit he's co-colluding with a buffoon.

Ok, well, the thing is, when trump withdrew the support of Isis, Russia was no longer in conflict so the sanctions were not necessary, or productive.

Trumpsters are laughable. They have no concept of just how deep in shit the whole Trump clan is with the Mueller investigation. Not even the GOP can help Trump and Pence at this point. Impeachment will not be necessary with Pence, he can face charges. Trump can't pardon him without it being obstruction of justice and the GOP can not not impeach Trump as a result.

Do any of the current GOP politicans look like the type to stick their neck out to help either Trump or Pence if they are caught by Mueller? NOPE !! If anything if I were Nunes I would be looking over my shoulder for Mueller as he was part of that little transition team too.

You should tell the one with the vampires, it would be more realistic.

    Same thing every darn time

You do know that Flynn was in Trump's inner circle for a very long time right? This put's the investigation into the heart of the WH. Not a coincidence that all of sudden that the attacks on Mueller have heated up by the most loyal Trump supporters.

His info is not "tainted" in any way - why do you think Mueller targeted him for the plea deal instead of say, Manafort?

Wonder what your next excuse will be when the next shoe drops (and I'm betting it will).
