once again the HIck from TN has to school the CA Know it all.

as I said Medicare is NOT a welfare program Medicaid is.
Stop going to highly biased websites for your "info"

I know it's horrible that we have a heath care program for low income people, the disabled , the blind and long term coverage for the elderly. Medicaid coverage for the elderly and disabled comprises a greater percentage of overall spending than coverage for low-income adults and children.

You know, people that have paid taxes into Medicaid.

Hell for the first time in years the welfare rolls have declined because millions got Jobs, and Millions more got their Obama part time jobs upsized to full time.

Food Stamp Usage Has Fallen Every Month Under Trump | Daily Wire

You see when people get FULL TIME JOBS they don't need welfare...
Bullshit. People are working FULL TIME JOBS and still need welfare. Pay them a living wage and they won't need welfare. Otherwise it's just more Corporate Welfare.

Extreme hypocrisy...Ryan grew up on SS and welfare (Carson grew up on every welfare program, including college)...but no one else should have those benefits.

House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) said Wednesday that congressional Republicans will aim next year to reduce spending on both federal health care and anti-poverty programs, citing the need to reduce America's deficit.

"We're going to have to get back next year at entitlement reform, which is how you tackle the debt and the deficit," Ryan said during an appearance on Ross Kaminsky's talk radio show. "... Frankly, it's the health care entitlements that are the big drivers of our debt, so we spend more time on the health care entitlements -- because that's really where the problem lies, fiscally speaking."

Ryan said that he believes he has begun convincing President Donald Trump in their private conversations about the need to rein in Medicare, the federal health program that primarily insures the elderly. As a candidate, Trump vowed not to cut spending on Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid. (Ryan also suggested congressional Republicans were unlikely to try changing Social Security, because the rules of the Senate forbid changes to the program through reconciliation -- the procedure the Senate can use to pass legislation with only 50 votes.)

Ryan's remarks add to the growing signs that top Republicans aim to cut government spending next year. Republicans are close to passing a tax bill nonpartisan analysts say would increase the deficit by at least $1 trillion over a decade. Trump recently called on Congress to move to cut welfare spending after the tax bill, and Senate Republicans have cited the need to reduce the national deficit while growing the economy.

Well that's lovely. Pass a GOP tax plan that primarily helps the Corps and the 1% and then try to help pay for it by slashing by screwing over poor and low/middle income people.

Of course this has been Ryan's dream forever.

Of course, if they wanted to support SS, Medicare and Medicaid they could, its not that hard. First, increase the top rates that pay into SS. Second, negotiate negotiate and negotiate with health care providers and everyone else in the food chain on costs which would make both Medicare and Medicaid less expensive. Lastly, move to single payer. But they won't because they are opposed to anyone not worthy in their minds getting anything from anyone else despite the belief in life they so vehemently protect when it is a fetus. America is doomed as a global power as long as we continue to have these types of ideas controlling our governments. We are doomed people, we will fall behind everyone over time and the only thing we will be good at when it is all said and done is killing people. We are really good at killing people.

    Common sense.

That is proof the Obama Economy sucked because he said the economy was great people were getting jobs, and 15,000,000 people were added to the welfare roles.
