I was a homeless vet, and at the time there was very little in the way of housing.

But, stop acting as though you and your party give a damn about ANY homeless, that kind of compassion for your fellow man is just not in your DNA.

    Thx

I was homeless at one point also and I did what I had to in order to get out so I have zero sympathy for anyone else who won't.

You want to live that way than fine but don't expect me to prop you up while you do.

My only disagreement here is insinuating that homeless vets are somehow different than homeless anyone else.

Well, that's just how some people are...

They feel they have a sense of responsibility to those who served their country.

Going to war and witnessing those horrors is not like working a shift at a diner, don't you believe that someone making those sacrifices for YOUR freedom deserve a little extra consideration?

( I mean, wtf? Is this the new GOP? Whatever happened to "Our Vets!" don't need them as a political prop anymore?)

    What next, abolish the VA?

    Thx

"Support the Troops!" is ringing in my ears. The last GOP administration who used fighting men and women for personal gain and had no use for them after the fact. Same party, same warmongering chicken hawks. These clowns wasted no time in going after entitlements. If there ever was a group truly "entitled" to some extra consideration it's Veterans, especially combat veterans. Hey Spooky! Up yours! You cowardly sniper. I don't care what the mods say. That's my position and I won't take it back. Sniveling worm.

A Trump supporter with a deplorable attitude toward our military. Of course you didn't serve, did you? Trump is supported by more right-wing cowards than any president in the last 50 years.

So did you go to war to protect the freedoms of this country and suffer from PTSD???

    If not, just can it.

In discussions about foreign aid or refugees, we hear,
"We shouldn't be helping non-citizens -- we need to spend that money on our own poor."

Change the subject to how we're going to help our own less fortunate and that so quickly becomes,
"We shouldn't be helping our poor -- it's their fault -- we need to spend that money on tax cuts for our wealthy."

This is sickening. Send young men to fight useless wars, then refuse to take care of them.

I have talked with many of them. They are all angry. I have yet to meet one that is not. The Government made promises. None of them are being met.especially in this Mideast War.
