I was just making the point that what works in other democracies isn't always the best thing for ours.

Of course, but to stand by the way we have always done things before should only go so far. That is not what awards legitimacy to the state. That comes from the people. And the people are getting progressively screwed as the years go by, including on Trump's watch.

Our founding fathers put two paths to amending the Constitution out there for us to use. You only feel that the people are being screwed because your candidate lost. You detest President Donald J Trump. He's the president. Sooner or later you can accept it.

Clinton wasn't my candidate. We've been getting screwed for a while

No, you aren't getting screwed. You just choose to support a candidate that the majority of the people do not support. Your candidate has the opportunity to get on the ballot and go for the win.

I'm not talking about politics, I am talking about forced arbitration and restrictions on free speech and freedom to seek redress of grievances nationwide. Though we can fix these problems with politics.

Oh forced arbitration? You mean that clause that was in the contract that all parties agreed to? That one?

I'm sorry that you do not like arbitration but if that is in the terms when you sign the contract, you agree to it or don't sign.

As if it were that simple. Such a ridiculous situation. Talk all day about corrupt Wall Street and "rigging" on the campaign trail. Insist you better read (and fully comprehend, a different matter) the fine print once in office.
