Homophobic GOP Lawmaker Freaks Out When Colleague Touches Him: 'I'm a Heterosexual!' - WATCH - Towleroad

"THIS is what dealing with Republicans in Pennsylvania has become. THIS is why they’re attacking our youngest and most vulnerable members of the LGBT community. THIS is what a broken moral compass, combined with gerrymandered, false leadership looks like."
"Said Metcalfe, interrupting Bradford: “Representative Bradford, look, I’m a heterosexual. I have a wife. I love my wife. I don’t like men, as you might. Don’t — stop touching me all the time! It’s like, keep your hands to yourself. Like, if you want to touch somebody, you have people on your side of the aisle that might like it. I don’t.”

Oh how ultra sensitive! Time was when a man could gently touch another one on the arm or elbow or back to gain their attention and the person would simply turn and acknowledge that they were being called. However, imho, if inappropriate touching was the intent it would not have been done on the arm as the Representative did nor in an open meeting with many people and cameras rolling that much is for certain. But this overreaction by Republicans is truly laughable. It goes beyond the pale. Suddenly, a mere slight touch on the arm or elbow to gain their attention becomes an intolerable act.

What is wrong with Rep. Bradford asking this man to stop touching him.

It's OK for a woman to ask a man to stop touching her if it makes her feel uncomfortable.

In fact many leftist here will argue that a man in that case who is accused should be removed from office.

But, when the boot is on the other foot, and it is the man who feels uncomfortable, then he is automatically labeled a homophobe.

    Let me ask you.

If Rep. Bradford had made that comment to a woman would this even be in a thread?

It's called bodily autonomy and everyone has that RIGHT.

    Interesting.

Allegedly straight guy sexualizes non sexual behavior and accuses others of being gay.

Is this a case of he who smelled it, dealt it homosexuality?

He can say that he does not appreciate being touched but to add the homosexual intent or fear into it is absurd. He is clearly a homophobe or a closet queen.

Or it could be that he was offended by another man constantly invading his personal space.

    There's that too. ...

Or perhaps his penis twitched in a feeling of pre tumescence, and his long quelled homosexuality scared him to the point where he started accusing folks of what he hates in himself.

And he'd probably suffer a coronary if a Middle Easterner came in to visit him and tried to hold his hand and KISS him as men do with no problem all of the time.
