Judge recuses in Michael Flynn case

    No reason staed.

President Donald Trumpís former national security adviser, Michael Flynn, will face a different judge to be sentenced than the one who took Flynnís guilty plea to a felony false statement charge last week, court records show.

Judge Emmet Sullivan was randomly assigned to take over the case after Judge Rudolph Contreras recused himself.

A court spokeswoman confirmed to POLITICO that the reassignment of the case was due to Contreras' recusal, but did not immediately respond to a query about the reason.

Sullivan is an appointee of President Bill Clinton, while Contreras was appointed by President Barack Obama.

Judge Sullivan is a high quality person, unlike the hack he replaces.

You do understand that Flynn voluntary pled guilty right???

So I have no idea why you think the previous judge was a "hack"...

Could be any number of reasons. He may have had dealings with him or his family or it may be a simple personal reason involving his own health or schedule. The only thing this judge actually did up to now is accept the guilty plea. @excalibur, I have no idea why you call him a "hack". Have you appeared before him before?

This judge has "zero tolerance" for corruption cases,,,,

On the contrary, Flynn is in deep shit

It's even worse, this is the judge who got Ted Stevens for corruption; no sympathy, guaranteed.
