This is one bill Congress passed that deserves applause.

The tax bill also doubles the deductions for Family that cares for their Parents and other depenents.

As a caregiver I will be curious to see exactly what comes of this.

Dont hold your breath. The bill directs the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to create an advisory council charged with making recommendations on the strategy to support family caregivers.

that means the Dhs will offer you unfunded suggestions to better your caregiver experience.

Remember when Trump said you will be able to do your taxes on the back of a postcard. That was a lie...wasn't it?

    I am hoping good things.

So many prefer to stay at home,it is certainly cheaper, and will give families some much needed help.

Offering lip service is better than ignoring the situation altogether, I suppose, but this legislation offers caregivers no significant support. Had it done so, it would have never been passed by this Congress.

I agree....it is just words at this point, not really a solid plan. It could be anything... a website that lists agencies for help or reimbursement for custodial care. Very vague bill.
