Ok, if I understand this correctly, they are dumping the waste byproducts in Ohio.

Assuming that this land hasn't been designated as a waste dump, this is a tremendously irresponsible action on behalf whichever company (ies) responsible.

Hopefully this gets investigated properly... I know the environmental fines for this type of disregard are astronomical.

    Shocker!
I was wrong when I disagreed with "GOOFBALL ALMIGHTY." I should REALLY check my sources better. Fracking isn't bad for you Goofball; please drink a nice tall glass of delicious fracking waste-water. Tell us all about how it isn't bad for you. Go right ahead, we will wait here for you.

They don't put fracking waste water in my drinking supply. You should move out of your neighborhood.

We don't have any either because MY GOVERNOR here in Maryland passed legislation to make fracking ILLEGAL! You should be so lucky. Of course, not all Republican governors have sense.

Here I am at a fundraiser with....ta da!!! Governor Hogan!!!

    Yup, that's me!
No mistaking me Goofball.....I'm big, dumb and UGLY!!!

I'd be hard-pressed to believe that the refined waste from oil production is not going to be toxic.

However, in the sense that it would be different then whatever comes out of the refineries them selves, you're probably be closer.

Whatever the case, if this is all above board and contracted out then there isn't really much that can be complained about. Aside from look how shitty our representatives are type of thing.

If this type of dumping is done illegally, the types of chemicals involved would reflect on how intense the fines would be. I don't know about Ohio, but I know oil companies over here in Alberta, they pay around 10 grand for each duck that lands in the ponds. Just for a sense of where things start.

So if I was a legislator (in a position to pass laws) in your neighborhood and was taking money or getting votes from companies that wanted a place to "legally" dump their waste and I join others (who are also being paid) to pass a law that says it is legal to spread toxic waste in your neighborhood, you'd be good with it all being "legal"?

Government does NOT corrupt itself, but for those looking to install a dictatorship, single party "government". Money that corrupts government comes from OUTSIDE of government.

If bank robbery was not so obviously wrong, bank robbers would be right there next to bankers trying to remove regulations that prevent them from ripping off their customers, lobbying to remove regulations that make bank robbery a crime.

If it was done in a back room deal a month before the dumping started, yes. If the area is already designated a waste dump, then it's less of an issue...

The main concern is if this dumping is illegal.

    @Goofball

Go ahead, smack talk my personal friends, IT'S ALL YOU GOT, sad little man.

How much have you spent on any political campaigns, NONE? Of course you didn't, you cannot afford too, that's why you post on a political website full time.

You can apologize right now for what you said about my ex-girlfriend you hack.
