or wait... do you think Susan Rice didn't lie her ass off on Benghazi on National Television in significant ways?

I see all the right wing sites are having a melt-down about this.

Much like the hype before the Nunes memo was released.

And that ended up being a big nothing

Former President Barack Obama suggested in January 2017 that information related to a federal probe of Russian election interference might have to be withheld from aides to then-President-elect Donald Trump, according to an internal White House email released Monday by two senior GOP senators.

The warning Obama delivered on Jan. 5, 2017, came during an Oval Office conversation shortly after senior intelligence officials briefed him on Russian cyber-meddling in the 2016 election. It was documented in an email then-national security adviser Susan Rice sent to herself on Jan. 20, the day of Trump's inauguration. The move appears to have been intended to create a permanent official record of the conversation.

The Oval Office conversation Rice described in her email included then-FBI Director James Comey and then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, as well as former Vice President Joe Biden. In the portion of the email the Republicans released, Rice recounted Obama making explicitly clear that he was not attempting to influence an ongoing federal probe into Russian election disruption.

"The President stressed that he is not asking about, initiating or instructing anything from a law enforcement perspective. He reiterated that our law enforcement team needs to proceed as it normally would by the book," Rice wrote

So they are pissed off that Obama did the right thing?

    That sounds really confusing.

    2016: Trump kicks Hillary's ass.

2016-Infinity: Dims cry foul and claim Russia won the election for Trump.

Yeah here is a time line for you:

Nov. 10 2016— Trump meets with President Barack Obama at the White House. Obama reportedly warns Trump against hiring Flynn.

Nov. 18 2016— The president-elect selects Flynn as his national security adviser.

Jan. 24 2017— Two days after he takes office as national security adviser, Flynn is interviewed by FBI agents. He tells the FBI agents that he did not ask Kislyak, in a Dec. 29, 2016, conversation, for Russia to refrain from retaliating after the Obama administration announced sanctions that day against Russia for interfering in the 2016 elections. He also says that he did not ask Kislyak, in a Dec. 22, 2016, conversation for Russia to delay or defeat a U.N. Security Council resolution, approved Dec. 23, 2016, that would have condemned Israel’s building of settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Flynn would later plead guilty to lying to the FBI about both of those conversations with Kislyak.

Jan. 26 — Acting Attorney General Sally Yates meets with White House counsel Donald McGahn in his office. She tells McGahn that high-ranking administration officials, including Vice President Pence, had made statements “about General Flynn’s conduct that we knew to be untrue.”

Feb. 13 – Flynn resigns. He acknowledges that he misled Pence and others in the administration about his conversations with Kislyak, the Russian ambassador. “I inadvertently briefed the Vice President Elect and others with incomplete information regarding my phone calls with the Russian Ambassador,” Flynn says.

Feb. 15 House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus asks FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe if the agency would help the White House knock down news stories about contacts between Trump aides and Russians during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Feb. 16 — Trump is asked at a press conference, “Did you direct Mike Flynn to discuss the sanctions with the Russian ambassador?” He responds, “No, I didn’t. No, I didn’t.”

May 11 – Trump says in an interview with NBC’s Lester Holt that he was thinking of “this Russia thing” when he decided to fire Comey. The president says he would have fired Comey with or without Rosenstein’s recommendation.

May 16 — The New York Times reports that Trump asked Comey at a Feb. 14 dinner meeting to shut down the FBI investigation of Flynn.

May 18 — At a press conference with the president of Colombia, Trump denies that he asked Comey to close down the FBI’s investigation of Flynn. “No. No. Next question,” Trump said.

June 9 – At a joint press conference with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, Trump denies that he told Comey to drop the Flynn investigation. “I didn’t say that,” Trump says. He also says that he never asked Comey to pledge loyalty to him. “I hardly know the man,” Trump says. “I’m not going to say I want you to pledge allegiance.”

Dec. 1 — Flynn pleads guilty to making false statements to the FBI and agrees to cooperate with the FBI investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election. “My guilty plea and agreement to cooperate with the Special Counsel’s Office reflect a decision I made in the best interests of my family and of our country,” Flynn says in a statement.

Can you make up your mind now ?
We covered that already, he has - as usual - exactly NOTHING.
He claims Comey lied, quoting - AGAIN - a quote which clearly shows that Comey mentioned "only twice" in regards to meeting Obama ALOOONE.

The meeting that the OP tries to meddle in here, for no reason but his pure desperation to find something to distract from the Trump disaster (security clearances in his CURRENT administration, anyone?), included multiple other people.. and as for that, i am sure there will be DOZENS of meetings, not two, where Obama met with Comey in group settings.

The OP has ... nothing. Those are the facts, and they are undisputed.

His "claim" is based on Comey's testimony before Congress. So I guess in his mind that means greater than 2?

Which of course, makes no sense.

Switch the names, say the sitting president was Trump and Comey met him but didn't disclose it? What tune would you be playing !!!!

Do you feel it was OK for Comey to lie?

He said he met in with Obama twice over the Russian investigation

In one case there were several other people at the meeting

Actually because its the right wing media you got the story from I went back to Comey's actual testimony and Comey did not say he met Obama twice. He said he only met Obama ALONE twice.

This had not been my practice in the past,” he continued. “I spoke alone with President Obama twice in person (and never on the phone) — once in 2015 to discuss law enforcement policy issues and a second time, briefly, for him to say goodbye in late 2016. In neither of those circumstances did I memorialize the discussions. I can recall nine one-on-one conversations with President Trump in four months — three in person and six on the phone.”

Ok, this story is officially a nothing burger. Bye Felicia
