Take up gardening ...growing plants and yardwork can be quite relaxing. Creative too.

Gee, let me get this straight. "Pull out" major population centers and you will decrease the amount of violence? My, how perceptive. You DO realize that you have to have people to have people on people violence, right? The more people the more violence.

We've pretty much split in two thanks to wedge issues. That and we hate each other.

It wasn’t really much less violent pre sixties, especially if you weren’t a white male. I pretty sure being lynched because of the color of one’s skin is pretty violent.

But what do you think, why do you think the USA has a problem with gun violence lately?
Thanks from Thx1138, boontito and Friday13

Seems like schools should be helping kids find their purpose in life thru education. I know they have programs where they work at different businesses such as hospitals to see if they want to do that type of work. I think there is something psychological that causes them to go off the rails, like losing parents or being abused that causes mental problems

You are right there was different types of violence such as race riots. I believe the first mass school shooting was a sniper at the University of Texas 1966, killed 17 people plus his Mother https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Whitman

Well ... I am neither telepathic nor a psych expert (-ologist or -iatrist), but I have a hard time believing that this has gotten out of hand only in the last 25 years or so. And I am pretty sure it was no better then, from what I remember (I just turned 50).

Plus ... having a purpose and a destiny can lead to stuff like this, rather than away from it. Check out the Middle East sometime.

No, I actually think technology has helped further isolate some lost souls, and that would coincide with the timeline here.
