Unfortunately, a sign with the new mission statement was made to match Ben Carson's $31,000 dining table he was shamed into sending back. That's going to throw off the whole decor in his office.
    Thanks from Friday13 and RNG

because Carson has a long history of making comments that oppose equal rights. He pulled support for programs that benefit the LGBT community. He had to be sued before he'd implement Obama era housing benefits. He's said he doesn't want people in housing programs to "get too comfortable". All by and through which he's sending a message down the chain of command that the things he's eliminating from the mission statement are not a priority.

    That's why.

What did he eliminate from the mission statement?

You mean you don’t think a brain surgeon is the appropriate man for housing? I am sure he’s going to make a plumber the next surgeon general

    Gotta agree.

Ben Carson isn't a great fit for the role.

or someone that just listened to the professionals already working there that know what works. Carson himself admitted that he wasn't qualified to run HUD. Yet, he did it anyway just because Trump asked him to. Which in of itself is not necessarily a bad thing. Except for the fact that Carson is a bit of a snob when it comes to people on public assistance. He's clearly the wrong person for the job in a normal administration. But, under Trump he's the best choice for the same reason his WH is full of zombies on crack. It's the same reason Trump hires anyone. Carson was chosen to bring havoc to the very agency he's in charge of.
