The world is a scary place and will still be scary and dangerous after misguided do-gooders disarm all the honest law abiding people, which will make predatory criminals' jobs so much easier.
Fucking stupid. Criminals will have guns as long as society or gun stores give them to them.

The National Rifle Association has filed a federal lawsuit over gun control legislation Florida Gov. Rick Scott has signed, saying it violates the Second Amendment by raising the age to buy guns from 18 to 21. The lawsuit came just hours after Gov. Scott, a Republican, signed the compromise bill Friday afternoon.

Lawyers for the NRA want a federal judge to block the new age restriction from taking effect.

    ..snip..

Ofcourse they did.. typical of those God damned nra gun pushers wanting to protect their gun profits and market share by sending their lawyers to Florida to tell us how we should run our state.
The NRA has too much power. I hope they lose this case.

No one gives guns to criminals. And felons can't legally acquire them, yet they do. Guns exist. Criminals want them. They will always be able to get them, just as illegal drugs can always be acquired by those who want them. Taking away the rights of people who have been obeying the law isn't a solution. In fact it's counterproductive.

One mentally ill, malignant person doesn't disqualify all 18 year olds from exercising their second amendment rights.
Upwards of 90% of all gun violence is committed by males aged 25 or younger.

These people are too dangerous to entrust lethal weapons to as freely as we do other Americans. Some limits on their rights is the constitutional manner to advance the essential government function of public safety.

This is akin to describing Mussolini as "an obsessive-compulsive with control issues".

As to the NRA, one need look no further than the bodies of our children, stacked like cordwood.

Fuck all the way off with that "civil rights" horseshit.

It seems we have so many unenforced gun laws already. Maybe we should start enforcing them, and maybe when someone see's something and says something the FBI could actually "do something about it" for a change. Starting any time now...
But I know there are many who think infringing on the rights of all gun owners would be better, even though the armed criminals won't be affected. Great idea there. What could possibly go wrong?

The Virginia Tech shooting might have been prevented. His fellow students, already uneasy about the shooter's behavior, were among those working in the mailroom when the package arrived. They joked that they hoped it wasn't a gun.

Clue for you: these are not jokes. They are connections your subconscious has made, which is much faster than your conscious mind. If ever anyone jokes about guns or bombs, etc. near you, GTFO, immediately.

Probably. It considers a federal question regarding a civil liberty protected by the U.S. Constitution.

28 U.S.C. 1331: "The district courts shall have original jurisdiction of all civil actions arising under the Constitution, laws, or treaties of the United States."

I want a copy of the complaint. What craptastic lawyers chose this losing approach?

You'd think the NRA could afford the best talent around. Unless they planned to lose, for strategic purposes?

    (But like which strategic purposes?)
