But again if you think Trump lied when he said it, that's a good start for you. That makes two on the right who think Trump is a liar on this thread
I know what he said, and I know the context.

Southern Dad never claimed he didn't say it, however SD was accused of being a person who would still support Trump if he did shoot someone on 5th avenue. Not sure why you even posted the video if you were not trying to bolster that lie.

    Perhaps you have an explanation.

Trump said THEY SAY THAT IF I SHOT SOMEONE... .... HE DIDN'T SAY "IF I SHOT SOMEONE"

Your truncation of the words "They say" statement makes your words a L I E. Trump didn't say it he was QUOTING/PARAPHRASING , others that were saying it.
He did say it. That doesnt mean he wasnt paraphrasing someone else.

And he said it for a purpose, to indicate the level of trump voters loyalty.

I sure didnt hear him denouncing those words, did you?

Undocumented immigrants are in california because the federal government has done a poor job controlling US borders, and now trump wants california to pay for that failure.
He isn't wanting the state to do anything but notify them of an Illegal at the time of the arrest.. They were not asking them to ENFORCE anything, they were asking them to do what they would do when they arrest a US Citizen, verify if there are FEDERAL warrants for the US Citizen.

This is a civil rights issue.. US Citizens in CA are being discriminated against by the Local and State Law enforcement.

The above only applies to state law enforcement, not to cities, and counties.

    Really, what's the problem?
exactly, our AG and Governor have agreed to share information with federal authorities , including ICE, just like they always have. All they're doing is prioritizing resources, again, just like federal agencies do - including the DOJ. Trump and Sessions, or who ever in the federal government that wants to, are free to meet with all related parties and work out their differences ( likely even doing it behind the scenes anyway). Trump would just rather make California a scapegoat because that's what his base wants.

That's a big plus in my book.
So where's his health insurance plan the government is going to pay for?

I did a quick google. found this guy:

"he was deported after serving a prison term for animal cruelty.

This was in 2002. and if he beat an animal, I'm not very sympathetic if he beat it so bad he got two years. anyway he was pardoned.

    here's another one:

US Army veteran to be deported from America after losing his immigration appeal | South China Morning Post

"While Perez was convicted of delivering less than 100 grams of cocaine, prosecutors have said he was arrested for delivering much more and received a reduced sentence after a plea deal.

Prosecutors also pointed out that Perez was given a general discharge from the military after a drug infraction."

And a couple others, seems the ones being deported are committing felonies. They had it in the bag, guaranteed citizenship and threw it away by committing felonies. That is completely different than suggesting we are deporting people who served honorable for no other reason than they are not citizens.
    Thanks from pragmatic and Goofball

can you back up your claims that law enforcement isn't checking for federal warrants when they arrest , your term, "an illegal"? And what about this claim that US citizens in CA are being discriminated against by local law enforcement? Is that part of the lawsuit the DOJ filed ? If not, why not, if what you say is true?
    Thanks from Panzareta

He is asking state law enforcement to investigate immigration status.

The california's sanctuary state status only applies to state entities, not local. If cities and counties want to act as agents for the federal government, its up to them.

Yeah, Ian gave that one up when I pointed out all those who were deported had been convicted of crimes. I guess he thought he could slip one by.
