Drawing on his background as a Marine and former federal prosecutor, Lamb disowned Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and staked out positions on abortion, guns and fracking that hewed closer to the GOP.

Even should Lamb win, he will likely be out in November.

He likely may get Primaried as the district is being redrawn for Nov 2018. It will be up to the constituents in the area that is redrawn. If they accept him as a blue dog Democrat then he will win the Primary. If they find some other more left to centre a better fit for them in that newly drawn district then a new guy or girl will win the Dem primary nomination for the Nov 2018 mid term.

It's shocking that in this old drawn up district that was a solid GOP he won it after having it go by 20 points to Trump just 14 months ago.

If Democrats can keep fighting to a draw in districts like this, they can win in plenty of places where Republicans were all but guaranteed victories in past years, as there are 119 GOP-held House seats that are more Democratic than this one.

It could signal the swinging of the political pendulum from the far right back towards the middle....just guessing....I mean, not everyone in this country is enamored of our present one party rules all branches...
