    Exclamation Poll: Democrats lead Republicans by 10 points ahead of 2018 midterms

    Poll: Democrats lead Republicans by 10 points ahead of 2018 midterms
    By Emily Stewart

    "In the wake of Democrat Conor Lamb’s upset victory over Republican Rick Saccone in Pennsylvania’s deeply conservative 18th Congressional District this week, the GOP has yet another thing to worry about: Democrats have a 10-point advantage over Republicans in congressional preference in the 2018 midterm elections, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll."
    "Fifty percent of registered voters say they would prefer a Democratic-controlled Congress, while 40 percent say they want Republicans to maintain control. That’s a change from a January NBC News/WSJ Poll that gave Democrats a six-point edge, 49 percent to 43 percent. And among independents, Democrats have a 12-point lead, with 48 percent of independents saying they prefer a Democratic Congress and 36 percent preferring Republicans."

    ================================================== ==

    When one political party is leading like this it makes a great statement that the American people believe in what they are doing in helping them and the country. That is why Democrats are leading in the polls. When voters see how inept Republicans are at retaining their benefits and services and how Democrats excel at that they are now turning to the Democrats.

    Maybe the Repubs will suffer a "shellacking" in 2018, like the Dems did in 2010.

    Then again, the polls got the last presidential election completely wrong.

    The only poll that counts is the poll of votes cast on election day...

    True. Democrats are mobilizing and are really fired up this year to get to the polls and vote so we should not be seeing a repeat of previous years.

    No they didn't. Clinton was predicted to beat Trump in the eleventh hour by about 3 to 4 points. She beat him by ~2.5.

    Actually, the polls called the last election accurately in a relative sense.

    Yeah... even if it were ten polls I'd still be cautious. A lot can happen with Putin in the mix.
