    Man gives birth

Ok, it's actually a former woman who transitioned into a man, in Finland:

A man has given birth to a child presumably for the first time in the history of Finland, reports Lännen Media.

The roughly 30-year-old trans man had begun the gender re-assignment process some ten years ago but decided to temporarily interrupt his hormone therapy in order to try having a child with his partner, according to the joint media venture established by a dozen regional newspapers in 2012.

“The baby weighs almost four kilos and is 53 centimetres tall,” the proud father told Lännen Media on Wednesday.

The father also revealed that he had no complications during pregnancy, even though he had been told that getting pregnant would likely be impossible. The only problems, he added, were related to paperwork as applying for the maternity allowance with a male social security number was impossible through the online service of the Social Insurance Institution of Finland (Kela).

The Finnish trans act stipulates that a person who has undergone gender re-assignment must be sterilised by hormone therapy before their gender identity is updated on official government records. The trans man had received a male social security number roughly three years ago, writes Lännen Media.

Human rights organisations have urged the country to stop the forced sterilisations of transgender people.
First trans man gives birth in Finland

Apparently, there was a previous such case in Oregon, in the US, reported last year

Transgender man who gave birth to baby boy addresses misconceptions

The Finnish case is being widely reported in Russian media too, mainly, of course, in the context of "See how fucked up Europe is, these days?"

Some women joke though, that men in Russia ought to start giving birth too.

After all, according to the traditional gender roles, the men there were always the defenders and providers, while the women - mothers and wives, above all else.

But these days, there are tens of thousands of women in the military

    and in law enforcement

and many others working other hard, "male" jobs, to help support their families

while it is also still they who takes care of the procreation too

Bit unfair, that hehe The ladies totally have a point.

I think, in future, far nearer future than one thinks, science probably will have actual men birthing babies, not just transgenders lol Interesting world, that will be...

    Mr. man,

    Mr. Man,

You said a former woman. The person is question is previously, and will in the future, a woman, but currently, a woman pretending to be a man.

Potayto, potahto. And slow down your typing. You're making little sense.

    Mr. Stan,

Understand, you can't counter my logic, so you resort to ad hominem.

There is no linguistic disagreement here. With very few exceptions, a man has an X and a Y chromosome, a woman, two X chromosomes. This person is a woman because an XX male cannot gestate a child.

Actually I did counter your "logic". No one believes that when a woman transitions to male she changes her chromosomes. No one. Everyone knows that genetically, people don't change. Everyone.

The point is that when we say "former woman" no one needs to jump in and explain that the person is genetically still a woman because no one is really talking about genetics. They are talking about identity. Well, no one except people like you who feel compelled to clarify what everyone already knows. So thanks for that.

A bit too complex for some black and white thinkers.
Thanks from StanStill and The Man
