Logical fallacies are not debate either. They're appeals to authority that don't exist. Namely your own. Report me if you're feeling butthurt. I've more infractions than you have pairs of underwear and I'm still here.

Don't care what you do. Just saying I won't argue points I didn't make.

I'd go so far as to increase penalties, and include in certain cases being charged as accessories to certain crimes.

Most shootings are with handguns, why wouldn't those people switch to handguns?

yes you need to illegally buy parts to convert to full, or select fire.

We talk about gun laws non-stop these days often with little discussion on how it would have prevented any of the previous mass shootings. Let's do that now.

    I'll go first.

I propose we ban those on psychoactive drugs black boxed by the FDA to highlight side effects such as "homicidal ideations" and "suicidal thoughts" from buying, owning or possessing guns while on the medication.

    This would have potentially stopped

    1. Columbine - Zuvox
    2. Aurora - Zoloft
    3. V-tech - Prozac
    4. N Ill U - Prozac
    5. Pinelake - Lexipro
    6. Newton - fanapt (this ones a doozy)

There are about a half dozen more that I can list, but I believe that my proposed ban on those on such medications might have prevented 1 or more of these shootings.
No single gun law is going to stop a shooting. And gun lawS by themselves won't either.

Part of the problem is Americans have fetishized firearms. Just look at your stupid avatar. Half the time we hear about how AR15s aren't assault rifles and they are not as lethal as other less military-style rifles. Yet it's your symbol here.

Too many angry Americans see firearms as a fairly likely-to-use tool in their lives for one thing. Younger angry American'sólike my former neighbor kid who told classmates he was going to shoot up the school (he didn't)ówant the meanest, most powerful looking weapons they can get, even if they're not really assault weapons.

In short, America is fucked up and we need to change this.

A continual vilification and bad-mouthing of the firearm fetish is a great way forward and part of that is getting Americans to say, "Holy shit, of course we'll outlaw _____" as a bigger package of prohibitions.

What part of that don't they understand? Whether it's expanded background checks, waiting periods, a ban on AW's, or better Mental Illness resources, I'm for it if it will save even one life.

    It's not that hard.

Now, there's also the Darwinian approach. Let Americans have all the guns they can get.

A few hundred funerals and amputations later and we'll have some gun control.

It's actually really simple so either you are playing dumb, or you are being evasive on purpose.
    The third one.
