    Tell it to a judge.

and wouldn’t dangling pardons in front of grand jury witnesses be a direct attempt to interfere with the judiciary?

If Trump's endorsement no longer carries weight in Pennsylvania or Alabama (and it obviously doesn't), then I don't see how congressional Republicans stand to gain anything by keeping him in office any longer. Most of them didn't even want him as a candidate to begin with.

Sorry guys, I have absolutely no faith that the GOP congress will bring impeachment proceedings against Trump under any circumstances

True. I think it will boil down to how they feel it will impact them. If they figure they will lose anyways, maybe they no longer care if they piss off that 30% of Trump supporters. At least stand up to him.

Me either. Even if dems take over next year and do impeach him, he still is likely to remain in charge. No way 2/3 of the senate will remove him from office. Unless they are all plotting and scheming behind the scenes now to take him down.

Nor do I, I'm just sensing a dark cloud of frustration among congressional Republicans lately. I've changed my opinion to a "maybe".

If they impeached prior to the midterms, then they could take credit for saving the nation from an out of control madman.

Besides, there's very little that an incumbent Republican could do to alienate their voter base. Those folks damned sure aren't going to vote for a Democrat.

The raid on Cohen's office and home by the Mueller team has changed the dynamic notably.

The article in the OP is an interesting read. The situation for Trump continues to not get better.
