Breaking News: Obstruction found by Mueller.

    here's the reporting.

Three sources familiar with the investigation said the findings Mueller has collected on Trump’s attempts to obstruct justice include: His intent for firing former FBI Director James Comey; his role in the crafting of a misleading public statement on the nature of a June 2016 Trump Tower meeting between his son and Russians; Trump’s dangling of pardons before grand jury witnesses who might testify against him; and pressuring Attorney General Jeff Sessions not to recuse himself from the Russia investigation.

Mueller would then likely send a confidential report to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who is overseeing the Russia investigation. Rosenstein could decide whether to make the report public and send its findings to Congress. From there, Congress would then decide whether to begin impeachment proceedings against the president, said two of the sources.

so, MSNBC is discussing the matter as if it's a foregone conclusion that Mueller will provide a report finding that Mueller has concluded that Trump engaged in obstruction of justice, according to "sources close to the investigation". What's next? A referral to Rod Rosenstein. Which will be referred to Congress. Who will then decide whether to draw up articles of impeachment.

    Yeah....right.

These are all pretty much issues that the entire world already knows about. While I do believe that Trump is guilty of such crimes, I would hardy consider it to be 'breaking news.'

you'd have to actually read the details to know why it is.

    Yeah....right.

I have always figured that it would be far more likely for Trump to face impeachment if Congress didn't receive such a referral from DOJ until 2019.

That may no longer be the case. Many congressional Republicans are getting weary of putting up with Donald Trump being the public face of their party. They already have their tax cuts. Who knows? They might be ready to cut their losses and shitcan his dumb ass.

Am starting to wonder that too now since Paul Ryan's retirement. I do think maybe they figure dumping Trump now and putting in Pence, who many prefer, might save them in the midterms. Plus maybe they figure he would pick a VP thats popular and help them. I have no idea but I have to think privately they dont want Trump around.
