I would assume that most of the recordings did occur in NY, so if that's the case, then Cohen need only be concerned about the content of the recordings.
I know that Cohen is seeking a TRO to prevent the seized materials from being used as evidence: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-u...litics+News%29

All the information that is not pertinent to the commission of a crime by Cohen and Trump is privileged.
Cohen is not Trump's criminal attorney. Unless Trump wanted to confess to Cohen crimes Trump committed without the knowledge and without the participation of Cohen ...those crimes are not Mueller's preview.
Now crimes to obstruct justice ...colluded to by both Cohen and Trump are not privileged and are under the preview of Mueller's scrutiny.

When your lawyer needs a lawyer, it's time to worry.
No one should be above the law. When, in the course of an investigation, evidence of possible unrelated crimes is uncovered, law enforcement should not be expected to look the other way.
This era of anti-law-enforcement attitude and behavior can't end too soon.
Good thing that didn’t happen then I guess.
Cohen was raided by the FBI/DOJ for the Southern District of New York because they had sufficient evidence of criminal activity to obtain several search warrents. The SDNY doesn’t have specific “mandate” on what crimes they can pursue

No they don't, but they can sure leak privileged information, and it's already begun.
