Exclamation Majorities back investigations of Trump from Russia to alleged hush money (POLL)

Majorities back investigations of Trump from Russia to alleged hush money (POLL)
    By Gary Langer

"Special counsel Robert Mueller has majority support in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll for extending his investigation into both Donald Trump’s business dealings and the alleged payment of hush money to women who say they’ve had affairs with the president in the past."
"The public by a broad 69-25 percent supports Mueller’s initial thrust, to investigate possible collusion between Trump campaign officials and Russian government attempts to influence the 2016 election. Support extends to half of conservatives and more than four in 10 Republicans."

That can't be good for Trump that Americans feel this way about him and the on-going investigation. But they have spoken and the people are anxious to find out more about and get to the bottom of the goings-on in the 2016 election as well as in other important areas.

METHODOLOGY – This ABC News/Washington Post poll was conducted by landline and
cellular telephone April 8-11, 2018, in English and Spanish, among a random national sample of
1,002 adults. Results have a margin of sampling error of 3.5 points, including the design effect.
Partisan divisions are 32-25-35 percent, Democrats-Republicans-independents.

Republicans are always undersampled in the #fakenews polls, you guys should have learned that lesson after the election.

People know how the law works. They know the feds would not be able to raid Cohen's office and residences unless they had proof that a serious crime has been committed AND that Cohen is a corrupt lawyer who will destroy evidence.

The GOP — It's the Republican Party now, not Trump, the two are marching in full lockstep — can either reverse course now or keep digging. If the current trend continues, the exit door behind them now will permanently close.

You should know by now that in these days it's the American Independent voters that carry the torch many times and they were there for the polling therefore, well represented. If Republicans were simply not there to be polled then what can one say. In general, when something doesn't go one's way they cry foul. When it does favor them and their political party they couldn't be happier. That's to be expected.

Most "independents" are democrats. so you have a poll heavily skewed to the left. They did it during the election, and look what happened. Those are facts, facts you guys refuse to learn from.

You can try and color it how you like but the fact remains that not all Independents are Democrats as many can and do vote for the other political party that's why they call themselves "Independents." The fact remains that if Republicans had been there during the polling instead of out somewhere else they could have been counted too in greater numbers. Their loss. You can't cry over spilled milk.

so almost 10% more democrats than republicans sampled. 10% more independents.

Independents currently lean left so the polling of them further pads the democrat position:

What evidence do you have that when polling, republicans were 'not there during polling'?

Stop to think. If they had been there don't you think they would have wanted to be counted? Of course. They would have then participated in the poll. But the fact that they didn't and came out lower means they were elsewhere or simply did not care to participate in the poll. Their loss.

As for Independents. If they want to lean left more than right that is entirely their right and their choice. It also obviously shows that they are embracing the Democratic platform much more than the Republican which is again very telling!

The left wing media constantly over polls democrats. you should have learned your lesson after all the polls got the election wrong. You miss the point that by skewing the poll in favor of democrats you don't get accurate results.

As of the first week of March this year 23% of Americans identify as Republican, 29% Democrats and 45% Independents. That would explain the breakdown of how they poll.
