So? Juries quite often are not given the whole story and many times regret their decisions when they learn the rest of the story.

Did the jury know that Armitage was the leaker from the very start and working with the investigators and prosecution?

Andrew Weissmann was allowed to send 4 Arthur Anderson employees to jail where two of them died. It was later found out he was totally corrupt, they were innocent, and it was too late. Nice jury there too.

P.S. - Andrew Weissmann is now on Mueller's team. he also bankrupt the entire company and cost 40,000+ people their jobs.

Bizarre pardon. Straight out of right field.

If he was after shock and distraction it was pretty successful.

Give me a fucking break. If this was on the up and up and not a sign to Cohen to stay quiet as he is going to get a Pardon too then Trump would have gone through the normal channels of letting the DOJ (which is under Sessions) to give him a legal opinion on the pardon.
Plus nobody put a gun to Scooter's head to LIE TO THE GRAND JURY. That was not on anybody but Scooter.

After 10 days of deliberations, the 11 jurors found Vice President Cheney's former chief of staff guilty of four felony counts of making false statements to the FBI, lying to a grand jury and obstructing a probe into the leak of Valerie Plame's identity. The jury acquitted him of one count of lying to the FBI about his conversation with a Time magazine reporter. Libby is the highest-ranking White House official to be convicted of a felony since the Iran-contra scandal nearly two decades ago.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...030600648.html

One juror, Denis Collins, said he and fellow jurors had little doubt after reviewing the evidence that Libby could not have forgotten how he learned Plame's identity -- the core of the defense's argument.

"It just seemed very unlikely he would have forgotten that. There were just so many things," said Collins, a writer who worked as a Washington Post reporter in the 1980s. "That he could remember that fact on a Tuesday and forget it on a Thursday . . . didn't make sense."

Libby has said that he forgot he learned about Plame from Cheney in June 2003, and that he believed he heard of her for the first time a month later from NBC's Tim Russert. He said he then shared the information with other reporters.

Such powers should not be so completely abused. They investigators and prosecutors should have went to prison to send a message to everyone else not to pull this shit.
Fuck the courts, you alone decide, right. You only trust the courts when the person you don't like is convicted. Such bullshit!

The nice thing about that situation is how it laid out in an actually non-partisan way. Bush refused to pardon Libby, something that many of his supporters didn't agree with. And then when the Wilsons attempted to sue Libby, Dick Cheney, Armitage and Rove, the Obama Justice Department argued they had no legitimate reason to sue, something that many of his supporters didn't agree with.

That's the thing. It's just more of the lack of respect for the law, justice, and law enforcement that this president and many of his supporters have.

So, he says he doesn't know much about Libby but has heard things for years. His Justice Department doesn't provide a review of the case, and his cult of supporters applaud wildly as if this isn't being done for any reason but justice.

The pardon itself is kind of "meh" to me. He'd already gotten out of serving jail time, he's got his law license back... he already wasn't really being punished harshly at all compared to others who'd committed and been convicted of similar crimes. Like most people, I too am somewhat used to the privileged not having to do the time after doing the crime.

The disappointing part is the lack of serious thought that went into the decision to pardon him and then the blind partisanship, shallow thinking, and/or the blatant disingenuousness put forth by many supporting the pardon.
