the increase in civilian casualties since Trump took office in Syria and Iran is outlawed as well. But, no one wants to talk about that, now do they? Including casualties as a result of bombing a school. The media is so distracted by bs stories about porn stars that they're completely ignoring a 200% increase in civilian casualties in the ME since Trump took office.

There have't been any heroes over there in a long time.

The beloved 'rebels' the USG supports are not these true blue guys many of us wanted to support back in 2011. They are now straight up terror orgs. The Army of Islam is now who the USG is backing (among others).

The support you see is real. Understand these rebel groups hold people hostage. They are very fucking happy when Assad liberates them. Only the rebels will face retribution. Not the people held as pawns.

Oh, I'm well aware of the various tribal affiliations going on there. Some of those ME nations (including Syria) are basically just cobbled together conglomerates of what were previously smaller nations and were created either by political mandate or military coup.

Where? Alawites are a small minority, primarily concentrated in the Latakia area.

Pretty sure majority in Damascus too. But, I could very well be wrong about that. But, certainly, more so now, after about 150,000 Sunnis were evacuated from Ghouta to Idlib and Turkish-controlled areas in the North, along with the rebels.

Looks like they ain't scared of your "big, new, smart" missiles, orange monkey...

This is what you need to understand, my American friends. Your government is not one of the good guys over there. There are none, pretty much, they are all nasty characters, on all sides. But, your government is no better than Russia, in that war. In fact, Russia is there legally, on the invitation of the government, as is Iran. While the US, UK, and France, are Invaders. Kind of like Russians in East Ukraine. Your government is supporting terrorists in there. It just acted in support of the Saudi-backed "Army of Islam"; and it also supports Kurdish groups Turkey considers terrorists (not that the opinion of Turkey rates very highly with me, but, just, on principle, your government backs people another NATO country sees as terrorists, how fucked up is that?). And, again, your military just attacked a sovereign state for no good fucking reason.
Bullshit. The civilized world has said no chemical weapons and using them does require a response. Assad used them and 3 of those civilized countries responded. As somebody should. Personally I would tell Assad the next time it will be his fucking house that is hit. And what Putin has to say about it is immaterial. He warned against the strike saying he would shoot down those missiles and target where they came from. Well, about a couple hundred were fired from ships in the Med, subs in the med, from the red sea, from the air, from just about every direction and angle and Putin did not fire at a single one. He targeted none of them. I would have told putin prior to the action that since he made his bold claim of firing back that we have on standby at about 45,000 ft a fleet of B1 bombers and that if you fire a fucking peashooter at any one of our jets or vessels we will obliterate where they came from. Our satellite surveillance knows where every one of your bases or airfields in Syria is located and if you think a couple hundred missiles is a lot we have another dozen subs frigates and jets standing by with the coordinates all plugged in and ready to make that first wave look like a fucking picnic. The last thing we want is war but if that is what you want just fire on any US or allied ship participating in this mission and we intend to hit your forces in the region so fucking hard it will make your fucking head spin. That's what I would have told that 2-bit commie bastard for threatening us. Russia doesn't have the economy or might to hold a candle to the US not to mention the US plus allied forces.

He's no fucking tough guy. What he has now may sound impressive but if a confrontation breaks out we can have a war machine kick into production turning out a 100 fighters a day, he will have a hard time building a fucking jeep.

I find your support for doing nothing while Assad uses chemical weapons disgusting. I applaud the US and the French and the British for striking the worthless piece of shit and for saying "do it again and so will we".

It wasn't Obama's heart. When it happened under Obama the repubs were constantly saying he needs congressional approval. He went to congress and they refused to put it to a vote. They wanted to be sure that if he did use a military strike they could blame him and if he didn't use a military strike they could blame him. Fucking pussies. Then Putin said he would force Syria to get rid of them so what the fuck was he to do? If he had used a strike then the right would have a thousand reasons why he was wrong to do so. Since he didn't, they have a thousand reasons why he should have.

The problem is that the US and others may have done nothing to really punish Assad for doing what he did.

Striking some chemical facility that may or may have not been involved in the attack.

It would be like the US bombing a car manufacture because their vehicle was used in an attack.

What and how Assad put these weapons together is still the question.

I was pissed when I saw the video. I too wanted Trump to strike...but I also want Trump to step up and do more than a strike. A strike does not solve the problem.

It's ok for me to operate on anger and emotion...but I want my government to use cooler heads and get the proof and then hammer the bastard. I feel the US has not done either.
