What U.S administration was in power during the Arab Spring and the taking out of regimes . Syria was F.....up long before Trump.

Then Putin said he would force Syria to get rid of them so what the fuck was he to do? If he had used a strike then the right would have a thousand reasons why he was wrong to do so. Since he didn't, they have a thousand reasons why he should have.
The same will be done against Trump. It's politics at every turn and under any administration.

What and how Assad put these weapons together is still the question.

I was pissed when I saw the video. I too wanted Trump to strike...but I also want Trump to step up and do more than a strike. A strike does not solve the problem.

It's ok for me to operate on anger and emotion...but I want my government to use cooler heads and get the proof and then hammer the bastard. I feel the US has not done either.
WE already have personal there, I don't want deeper involvement in another M.E hell hole. Those countries need to work out their own differences.

It was very successful as detailed out in the "How" it happened thread.

How the U.S. and Allies Attacked Syria

I can see there are some ardent TDS people that will ignore all reported information that conflicts with their desire for Trump to fail, even if they have to support Assad and Putin.
That about sums it up. Destroy the president.

myself, I can't stand Trump. Yet, I'm still saying the timing appears to have been set by the intelligence community. Not Trump. Trump is the one that made a direct connection between military strikes and the Russia investigation. So, if you're arguing that he hates himself, I'm prepared to agree with that.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:50 P.M.) – Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad met with several members of the Russian Parliament in Damascus, today, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.

According to SANA, Assad met with members of the United Russia political party in Damascus to discuss the latest tripartite attack on his country.

Assad said the tripartite missile attack on Syria was accompanied at the United Nations Security Council meeting by a campaign of misdirection and lies against Syria and Russia by the countries that carried out the aggression.

He said this which once again that the two countries are fighting the same battle not only against terrorism, but also to protect international law which is based on respecting the sovereignty of states and the will of their peoples.

For their part, the members of the delegation said that the tripartite attack is a clear violation of international accords, and it came at a time when the Syrians are working to restore stability and rebuild what was destroyed by terrorism.

They affirmed that Russia will remain firm in its support for Syria in the face of the war targeting it.
Assad meets with Russian MPs after US-led attack on Syria

It is ironic, to see Russia portrayed as a defender of sovereignty lol

Basically, Russia and Us are two fucking hypocrites here...

That IS quite a change from just a few years ago when they took Crimea from Ukraine.

They didn't exactly "defend sovereignty" in that case, huh?

Quite a change, indeed, and very hypocritical of Russia.

All the big powers are like this, defend the sovereignty of those they like. US, say, is against Russia invading Ukraine, but perfectly ok with Saudi Arabia invading Yemen. And Russia is, yes, again, itself violating the sovereignty of aforementioned Ukraine, or, for example, Moldova, whose government wants Russia to pull their "peacekeepers" out of Transnistria, but whose military is nowhere near strong enough to make them; while pretending to defend sovereignty in Syria...

All the big players in our world are hypocrites this way. It is disgusting.
