He can never do an interview after the raid on Cohen. At least not until all discovery is done to know what was seized from Cohen.

That will be his team's legal position and rightly so.

The raid on Cohen keeps all prospective interviewees honest. No one knows what Cohen knows...and what Mueller now knows.

Trump not talking to Mueller? Great, as it should be.

why not just let folks "focus" on what they deem is most relevant?

On Monday Trump’s lawyers were discussing a possible interview with Mueller's team and had begun to hash out the final sticking points, including the timing, scope and length, according to people familiar with the discussions. One person familiar with the strategy said the president’s lawyers had sought over the weekend to expand his legal team to include individuals who would prepare him for an interview. Another person familiar with the matter, however, said preparations had not yet gone that far.

I think trump should be interviewed by mueller, and it should be televised. Trump is after all, a public servant.

Prior to Monday’s raid, Mueller’s team had been aiming to finalize a report on its findings on whether the president has tried to obstruct justice in the Russia investigation in the coming months, as early as May or as late as July, three sources said.

That timeline hinged in part on reaching a decision on a presidential interview, these people said.
One person familiar with the investigation described a decision on an interview as one of the last steps Mueller was seeking to take before closing his investigation into obstruction.

Mueller’s team may be able to close the obstruction probe more quickly as they will not need to prepare for the interview or follow up on what the president says.

The raid on Cohen “significantly complicated” any negotiations for the president’s legal team, according to a person familiar with the discussions, who also cautioned that “you never say never” in terms of a possible interview.

    Maybe it's just FAKE news???
What do you think is fake? What doesn't ring true, for you? You think the president still plans to speak to Mueller under oath? You think the raid had no affect on his thinking?

what are you talking about? The raid on Cohen is a separate issue. His legal team can take any position they want. But, the bottom line is they aren't calling any shots. Mueller isn't obligated to comply with their demands. He's just being professional about the whole thing because he obviously has more respect for the office than Trump does.

I think a report will be delivered to Rosenstein or a senior DoJ official by the end of May.

I think there chances are better than even Trump will attempt to remove or significantly pin back Rosentein at that time.

What happens afterward will decide the ultimate trajectory of this business.

    Why are you yelling?

Mueller didn't conduct the raid. His team uncovered information in their investigation and turned it over to local authorities who conducted the raid.

While I'm convinced the raid will result in information Mueller will add to the case (and I'm sure this is why you and other conservatives are so upset), this cannot be pinned on him.
