We can't even afford to take care of the people we have here now. So it's kind of stupid for us to take in refugees the world over.

Besides, the Syrians need to stay in their country and make it better. Running away is not the solution.
    Thanks from Bronwyn

We didn't. Not even the Trump administration is making that claim.

We could afford a multi-million dollar bombing campaign though, couldn't we?

He said we destroyed their chemical weapons. He didn't say we destroyed all their chemical weapons.

The missiles were already built. So might as well use them when a situation merits it.

And reacting to a dictator flaunting international law and using chemical weapons is different than intentionally making our domestic problems worse by taking in more people when we can't even afford the ones we have here now.

One is a problem of our own making. The other is not.

    Sure you can.

I don't mind if the little ones, say two years old and younger, come to the USA and are adopted, but their parents and other adults can stay there.

We gave Trump a headline reprieve for a few hours......which was the real goal of the mission.

OK, believe whatever FACEBOOK propaganda you want:

The coalition hit the Barzah Research and Development Center outside Damascus with 76 missiles, destroying the facility and setting back Syrian chemical weapons capabilities “for years,” the U.S. military said in an initial assessment.

The second and third targets were part of what the U.S. military described as the Him Shinshar chemical weapons complex outside the city of Homs. The military said the strikes “completely destroyed” the complex’s chemical weapons storage facility and “successfully hit and sustained damage” to the installation’s chemical weapons bunker.

“We deployed 105 weapons against three targets that will impact the Syrian regime’s ability to develop, deploy and use chemical weapons in the future,” Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr., director of the Joint Staff, said during a news conference on Saturday morning. He described the facilities as “fundamental components of the regime’s chemical warfare infrastructure.”
