    Or something along those lines.

you forgot ignorant. the amount of damage to the environment LIPO batteries do would make one of those hippies cringe.

My surmise as to the motivations of buyers who have no practical need for an SUV or a truck, explored the possibility that there were certain individuals who associated large, agricultural and utilitarian vehicles with masculinity. There may well be other motivations which do not involve necessity - that is merely one that springs to mind, and which is often mentioned in my social environment (bear in mind that I do not live in the USA, and that I am a university student).

It would be much more useful to me if you were to address the technical points I raised, and show me how large, heavy, crudely suspended and top heavy vehicles were both nimbler and safer on demanding roads, as well as addressing their fuel economy and emissions.

Why do I care about the type of vehicles I see on the road? Several reasons - one of which being that these semi-agricultural SUVs and trucks are less safe to other road users, inasmuch as they are so tall they block forward vision, and so unstable that they roll over if one so much as looks at them unkindly. Another being that they are so unsightly looking, that anyone with any sense of automotive aesthetics is offended by the monstrous things.

    E.g: this -

    versus this -

    1. you are going to get into a head on collision but you have a choice of one of the two vehicles you picked, you will be hit by the other. which do you choose?

    2. you have a family of 4 and a dog, which vehicle would you pick to take on a family vacation?

    3. your concerns about everything from handling, and roll overness, is inflated and not reality.

That's just a start. I find them safer because I can see over traffic, I am more easily seen. I can carry more shit, and when stuck in traffic it's like I'm in my living room, not a cramped car.

    also...

    0-60

    Alpha Romeo 5.5 seconds

    GMC Sierra Denali 5.6 seconds

I can go into other specs but not as far off as you imagine.

Plus, that's an alfa, it will spend as much time in the shop as it will on the street.

I guess many will be shocked when they hear St. Peter say: get in the pick-up, we're driving up to the big house.
