Exactly what I said. Get the guns away from the liberals, and problem solved. Vote Democratic and lose you Second Amendment rights. Surely you agree that the Constitution needs to be amended to reflect that universal truth.

Or, perhaps you'd rather Democratic voters continue to shoot each other, so there will be fewer of them in the voting booths. Don't you think that's a great idea?

a new level of arrogant ignorance on your part.
You are the ignorant one. Here is proof that a 22 can kill at over 400 yards.

In order for people to lose rights protected by the Constitution, there'd need to be an amendment. An amendment requires either 2/3 majority in both houses of Congress, or a majority in 2/3 of the states. Neither party has had anywhere near that kind of dominance since the late 1960s. In the Senate, nobody has even gotten to 60%, much less 67%, since the late 1970s. So, it's not realistic to expect the Democrats are going to get to the kind of majority where they could amend the Constitution in the face of determined Republican opposition, even if the Democrats could get all their own votes in line, which never happens on gun issues.

If people vote Democrat, what they'll see isn't a loss of Second Amendment rights, but rather small experiments with second-amendment-compliant gun control, similar to what we saw in the early 1990s, after Clinton became president but before the Congress went to the Republicans. That could mean a limit on some kinds of semi-automatics, and possibly things like waiting periods and fewer ways to dodge background checks. But it wouldn't mean any loss of Constitutional rights.

Certainly it can and what if it were a 22 mag? Still rimfire and still just considered 22 but one hell of a lot more powerful.

Interesting physics problem. Without wind resistance, the maximum range of a 22 would be something like 6 miles. Figuring out wind resistance would be a pain in the butt, especially with supersonic ammo, since wind resistance would vary drastically depending on velocity.

    https://www.thetrace.org/2017/06/phy...ssault-rifles/

According to that link, the .22, leaves the muzzle at 2,690 feet per second, and slows to 840 feet per second at 500 yards (that muzzle velocity is what the 45 gr hornet ammo is rated at, so we're talking about a round built for distance). So, if we assume fairly linear decline, it should be around 1,210 fps at 400 yards. By comparison, a .380 acp has a muzzle velocity of about 800 fps, with about a mass of about 90 gr. So, the .22 at 400 yards should be going a little more than 50% faster, with a half the weight. So, it'll have a little less stopping power than a small handgun fired at point-blank range, but still plenty to kill someone with a well-placed shot.

It got overturned fairly recently (it wended it's way through the courts by NRA challenges for 6 YEARS). I believe it was found unconstitutional based on doctors FIRST AMENDMENT rights. Ironically, not on children's safety!

IDIOTS!! The NRA, the gun owners and the legislature. Doc's can ask if you have a dog, a pool in the backyard (those have MANDATED lockable enclosures), child safety seats, but they couldn't ask about a gun!

    Yeah, I found it...

A federal appeals court says doctors in Florida must be allowed to discuss guns with their patients, striking down portions of a Florida law that restricts what physicians can say to patients about firearm ownership.

In a 10-1 decision, the full panel of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals found that the law, known as the Privacy of Firearm Owners act, violates the First Amendment rights of doctors.
Too many questions that infringe upon my rights.
