recklessness and negligence should be grounds to have you loser your guns, all with due process however with the right to appeal.

An Oklahoma man drunkenly celebrated the purchase of a new gun by shooting off dozens of rounds, police say — and one of those bullets may have struck a baby’s crib a half mile away.

Andrea Johnson heard a loud noise outside her Moore home about 1:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, but she was unable to determine its cause until the following day after going into her baby son’s bedroom, reported KFOR-TV.

“I saw this piece of wood that was kind of messed up in the bar of his crib,” Johnson said. “I thought it was kind of funny. Well, he is teething, maybe he had chewed on it, maybe he ninja-kicked it in his sleep — he kicks a lot.” Johnson, whose husband was away at the time serving in the U.S. Army Reserves, tried to find the rest of the wood chips so her 18-month-old son, Axel, couldn’t put them in his mouth.

“When I pulled his crib back is when I saw something on the ground, bent down, picked it up and realized it was a bullet — and that’s when I just absolutely lost it,” Johnson said. Police said the bullet pierced an outside wall, the living room ceiling, a second interior wall and finally was stopped by the crib bar....

Lots of stories similar to this one. But most people don't seem to care, or get super defensive about it.

An arrest report states a witness told police she saw Serena Escamilla shoot her mother while they were fighting over a gun. Officers found Esperanza Plazola, 45, on a bed in the front room with a gunshot wound to her chest. The Nueces County Medical Examiner's office identified her as Esperanza Escamilla. "Her daughter, Serena Escamilla, was on the floor of the same room with a gunshot wound to her abdomen," the report states. Both women were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. Later that day, Plazola died at the hospital.

SACRAMENTO -- Roy Eunice was fatally shot Saturday night while taking out the trash. "This was a senseless murder," Mary Thompson, Eunice's sister, told FOX40. "He came out of his house just to dump his garbage."

Eunice's two twin daughters were feet away when they heard three gunshots. One bullet even pierced the front door of their apart along Broadway near Santa Cruz Way. Another went through two of their walls. The third hit Eunice in the chest.

"He walked in his house, told his 10-year-old daughters that he's been shot," Thompson said. "'Call your mom. Call 911.' He collapsed in front of his daughters and died."

That's up for a judge to decide based on the law.

Amazing. Finding the worst possible example of a gun owner and applying their actions to all "sensible law-abiding gun owners" and saying "SEEEE!!! Told ya."

    We see through that bullshit.

You don’t have an opinion of what the law should be?

I agree in TN if you are caught with your firearm while intoxicated you lose your license.. and possible jail time. you don't even have to fire the weapon.

I fully support the 2nd amendment, but I also support with power freedom comes responsibility
