I think they are "modern" and don't concern themselves with oppressive policies, such as SSM, abortion, etc... They value personal freedom and are liberal in their thought processes.     I don't know if any one individual can accurately speak for a large group of people. I concur that a typical Jew would likely have more insight into the culture than would a typical gentile.
