I agree, some of Israel's tactics are cringe worthy...but the US is not a small Country that borders another Country who have terrorist training camps next door either. I used to see both sides, until Palestine voted in HAMA's. I just can't support a terrorist organization who uses children in war. Palestine would garner a lot more support if they ousted HAMA's.

They are on the dole, receiving a huge per capita stipend from the US taxpayer, and another huge stipend from individual American Jews, plus they have the effective use of the US veto in the Security Council to prevent them from ever facing any sanctions for their criminal occupation of Palestinian lands. They have every incentive to bend over backwards to stay in our good graces, regardless of where we put our embassy. So, by moving it, we buy ourselves an international headache to please a country that should be working to please us. I can see an argument for recognizing West Jerusalem as Israel's de facto capital, just as we should recognize East Jerusalem as Palestine's de facto capital, but what advantage is there, to the American people, in putting our embassy there?

    None.

    That's not very nice.
In all of my years of being a Christian, I have never heard of that ever. I was always taught that Jews are God's chosen people. I am not the best Christian at all, a little on the savage side with poor impulse control. But my Sister, who is more devout would throw herself on a sword for a Jew.

Funny................Obama unilaterally signs an agreement with Iran to give them billions, let them keep sites off limit to inspectors, let them produce nuke bombs in 10 years......etc....etc....

Trump comes along and reverses Obama's Executive Order, and the alt-left is apoplectic that Trump ruined the word of the United States...........WE WILL NEVER BE TRUSTED AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bill Clinton promises to move our embassy to Jerusalem.

    So does W.

    So does Barry Hussein.

Trump actually lives up to the word of the United States and several Presidents.................the alt-left is apoplectic.

Seems to me that America actually has our credibility on the line with this one, unlike the disastrous clusterfuck Obama did on his own.

I feel that a lot of support for Palestine from some on the left is driven by the perception that Palestinians have been exploited and oppressed, as opposed to any religious beliefs (Pallywood has been highly influential over the last decade in swaying public opinion toward the PLO and its successors). However, the Palestinian question is a lot more complicated than over-simplifications such as apportioning support according to one's political stance. There are humanitarian elements involved here on both sides, and there are the UN mandates to consider, as well as the historical factors. It is a sensitive issue in a highly sensitive area of the world and these factors need consideration to form an informed opinion on the subject and we shouldn't devalue the debate with 'leftists this' and 'righties that'.

Anyway, that's how I see it and I see many in the current wave of threads on the subject using the platform merely to bash the other side.

In the midst of this delicate balance, Trump throws a partisan hand grenade and looks for applause.
