If you say so, then why would they go through the hassle and cost of a swat team when the documents could be obtained by fax via accountant. They had enough to get a warrant.

Nah, it's clear through their actions that they wanted a show... If not for the jury, then for the public.

It's clear to me that they presented adequate evidence to a judge that the target of the search warrant would likely fail to comply and/or be a risk to destroy evidence, else they wouldn't have received the warrant that they received.

They were acting on a warrant, and apparently they did not feel they could get everything from the accountant (who may or may not have had complete records). It might help to see the actual warrant that was used.

There's something about watching a cop toss people around that helps to make a jury think they deserved it.
Are you....under the impression that the jury is shown footage of the execution of a warrant?

Who knew accountants could fax cellphones and thumb drives

They also have the information from 36 laptops, phones, thumb drives and other electronic devices that were seized during the raid of Manafort's house. The investigators have gotten 15 search warrants in the investigation, according to a new court filing Friday

No, it can’t. As Ian has already explained to you.

Yes. He took possession of the documents without their consent. That's what happens whenever a search warrant is issued and executed. It is never a pleasant experience for the target of the warrant.

Under what legal theory? It is irrelevant to the question of the defendant's guilt, and so the jury has no need for that information.

    So then, you'd object?
