    Satisfaction With Way Things Are Going in U.S. Rises to 37%

    Satisfaction With Way Things Are Going in U.S. Rises to 37%

    WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Thirty-seven percent of Americans are satisfied with the way things are going in the country today, up from 29% in April. Gallup has not measured a higher level of satisfaction since a 39% reading in late September 2005, although 37% were also satisfied right before the November 2016 election, and 36% were satisfied in February 2018 after the State of the Union address.

    ...

    The rise in satisfaction this past month has been attributable to a large increase among independents (from 26% to 35%) and a smaller increase among Republicans (from 57% to 63%). Meanwhile, 14% of Democrats are satisfied, essentially unchanged from 13% readings the past three months, and similar to the 12% average for that group since Trump became president.

    ================================================== ===================

    All Americans saw a decent uptick in their satisfaction with the way things are going, with the exception of those from one group. Those people identifying as Democrats only saw a 1% uptick, while every other group saw real improvements.

    With the economy rolling along solidly and International Affairs doing better; Americans as a whole are feeling good about the direction.

    Enjoy the good times people!

    That seems pretty low, but at least it's rising.

    With the economy doing so well, it's a mystery the numbers aren't even higher. I wonder what's holding them down?

    Oh, and the trade deficit----Donald Trump's SIGNATURE economic issue on the campaign trail-----is at its HIGHEST level in more than a decade.

    Oops.

    Allies aside, our international relations with Putin and Un are certainly better, and after Trump personally saved ZTE, with China as well. Why do you think China just loaned Trump a cool 500 million?

    Trump received around 46% of the vote, yet only 37% think things are going good. Sounds like he is losing ground quickly.

    lol... keep mixing stats. Obama received more of the vote and had even lower satisfaction rating. Now what?
