Immigrant dies by suicide in Texas jail after being "apprehended at border"

The headline is misleading. He wasn't apprehended, as though he had committed a crime. These are innocent people, seeking asylum. Father, mother and son. This is what happens when sadistic bastards are in charge of a country.

The Washington Post, which first reported the death, said that the Muņoz, 39, was a Honduran father who suffered a breakdown after he was separated from his wife and 3-year-old son. The Post cited Border Patrol Agents with knowledge of the incident.

An agent told the newspaper that Muņoz “lost it” after Border Patrol told the family they would be separated and that, “They had to use physical force to take the child out of his hands."

I'm quoting NBC News (above quote), because
WaPo (below quote) has a pay wall.

According to Border Patrol agents with detailed knowledge of what occurred, Muņoz crossed the Rio Grande with his wife and 3-year-old son on May 12 near the tiny town of Granjeno, Tex. The area is a popular crossing point for Central American families and teenagers who turn themselves in to apply for asylum in the United States.

Soon after Muņoz and his family were taken into custody, they arrived at a processing station in nearby McAllen and said they wanted to apply for asylum. Border Patrol agents told the family they would be separated. That’s when Muņoz “lost it,” according to one agent, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss the incident.
They didn't 'sneak in.' They were not here illegally. They were at a processing station, seeking asylum, they were separated.

He probably figured he'd never see his wife and child again, and that was enough for him to reach the decision.

Somebody was just rattling on, asking if I am ashamed of Mexico and Honduras, since I'm ashamed of America. Well, two things. This is my country, and I never expected to see it follow in the footsteps of Nazi Germany. And two. If you already know people are fleeing from those countries and arriving here seeking asylum, as refugees, then you have your motherfucking nerve acting like they never should have attempted escape to begin with.

Fuck this administration sideways with a rusty chainsaw for all the damage they are doing.

Truly. Why don't these people get help from Mexico? Similar cultures, same language. The left tells us how wonderful Mexico is.

The policy of separating parents from children is not entirely new, either. Indeed, it is standard when adults who have committed a crime are arrested. The only alternatives are to create a detention system for families, a policy to which the ACLU objected under Obama (the policy is barred under a 1997 consent decree), or simply not to detain illegal entrants at all before their court hearings, allowing them to disappear into the country.

Yes, he was here illegally. When you cross the Rio Grande in the middle of nowhere instead of going thru an approved border check point, you become an illegal. He isn't an immigrant, he is an illegal.

People kill themselves on a regular basis.

    Happens all the time.

Just in this past week, we had two rich, successful celebs who killed themselves.

    And, they were both legal!

“They arrived at a processing station,” your point is invalid.

....by ILLEGALLY CROSSING THE RIO GRANDE.

He is an illegal. Period. None of your PC bullshit semantic talking points changes that fact.

A processing station is where illegals apprehended are taken. It isn't a legal border crossing. This person committed suicide. It was a weak individual that wasn't cut out for this endeavor. Should we turn everyone loose who might commit suicide?
    Thanks from Goofball and orangecat
