It really shows how phony right-wing politics are. They pretended for decades to be obsessed with "traditional marriage" and "family values" despite supporting divorcees like Reagan and Trump; they whined about the Hollywood/Democrat link, even though guys like Trump and Reagan were much more closely tied in with the entertainment world; and they talked up a faux-populism, while installing old-money aristocrats like GW Bush and Trump into power. I think it points to the way that their anti-elitism is really anti-intellectualism. They're fine with electing out-of-touch, New York and Hollywood multi-millionaire politicians from powerful aristocratic families, who hold the common man in contempt and work for the super-rich, so long as they also mangle the English language, demonstrate a total ignorance of the world, and otherwise make it so the rubes don't feel bad about themselves.

The same McCaskill who was outraged(!) that then Senator Sessions had met with the Russian Ambassador, and said she had never done that. Except someone dug up several tweets in which she bragged about meting the Russian Ambassador and other Russian officials on at least two occasions.

How is this any different from Trump jetsetting around the country in his personal passenger jet decked out in gold trim?

    Politics is weird man.

So, a politician is calling out another for staging a campaign stunt? This is common practice so I'll leave the faux outrage for the naïve.

Sen. Claire McCaskill confirmed Tuesday that she used her private plane during a three-day RV tour of her state last month, an admission that promises to become a political headache for the Missouri Democrat in her reelection bid.

She disputed the notion that the use of the plane allowed her to "pretend" that she was using an RV rather than the multi-million-dollar plane, reportedly purchased by her husband's company in 2013. "I spent two-plus days on the RV," McCaskill said, and the plane "picked me up at the end of one day, after I spent all day on the RV" before being used to add "some stops." The RV wasn't used during that added portion of the tour, she said.

McCaskill's GOP challenger, Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley, slammed McCaskill as "out of touch" after the report on her travel. “She has completely lost touch with reality,“ Hawley said in an interview, adding that McCaskill “has lived in the DC corridor“ for long enough to have “no inkling“ of how her state operates. “Claire McCaskill is desperate to put on a folksy act when she’s back in Missouri, but she’s too much of an elitist to even stick to a three-day RV tour without hopping on her private plane," National Republican Senatorial Committee spokesman Bob Salera said in an email.

If McCaskill's reelection bid gets grounded by her flights, it won't be the first time air travel has plagued her. She sold a private plane in 2011 after acknowledging a failure to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars of property taxes on the aircraft.

Her family. It literally is the definition of hypocrisy for Trump and his supporters to bring this up. Doesn't stop them for a moment.
