You didn't answer the question, why?
I did answer the question, just not in the fashion that validated it's ridiculous parameters

Us veterans don't view this as small at all. Why diminish our sacrifices?
What Max Boot means there is that it is a very small commitment in the sense that it really doesn't COST the North Korean regime ANYTHING to make that commitment. Comprende?

At least here, you are making an attempt to. You do say, finally, that you want "human rights violations stopped, [and a] path to democracy." OK, those two things alone would MEAN an END to the tyrannical Kim Dynasty.

But we ALREADY have a contradiction, Rev. Supposedly, President Trump GUARANTEED the security of the North Korean regime. And end to human rights violations would be WONDERFUL for the North Korean people, of course. It would mean an end to the vast and sprawling prison camp complex that exists in that sad country, the veritable DEATH CAMPS the North Korean regime has been operating for decades. But 'a path to democracy' would mean an end to the Kim Dynasty even more directly.

OK, now Rev, explain to all of us poor saps out here, exactly WHY would Kim Jong Un be agreeing to anything like that, which would almost assuredly end up with him meeting the same fate as, say, Benito Mussolini or Moammar Gadhafi??
"Human rights violations stopped?" Fucking really?? We're not going to wait and see if that's a reality, huh. Just believe him like the other twenty times he made the same promise.

I can't help wondering if all the pro-lifers are fine with Trump making nicey-nicey with a dictator who forces his female citizens to get abortions. A bit jarring, that one.

No, I get given your age you found a way to escape service while others served, truly I get that, but you have a huge problem. You want him to fail so bad you look to any minutia before its all settled to call it a failure.

In the context in which you and your Orange God prostitute out such folks, yes, it is a joke.

I would lean towards the first one to define success but would consider the 2nd a lesser success as well as far as reducing nukes.. you neocons are funny.
Again then, the highly pertinent question: Just why in the FUCK do you think Kim Jong Un would EVER agree to the first option??? Are you STUPID?

And, second, I already explained to you why I am NOT a neo-con. Get a CLUE: If you were an opponent of George W. Bush's invasion of Iraq in 2003, you are NOT a neo-con. [Did YOU oppose that decision, Rev?]

So we should continue the status quo? How well was that working.

The establishment is mad because the N. Korea bogeyman they love to sabre rattle with whenever there is a scandal (remember that stupid movie? the interview and the fake n korean outrage?) may be coming to an end and the media is dutifully selling you that narrative that trumps failing.

Yes, because it would make the world safer and the USA stronger.

I've asked numerous posters this today, none seem to want to answer. so I present the question in it's own thread.

    What say you?

The Vietnam War was just ENDING when I graduated from high school, Rev. Am I supposed to apologize for that???????

I was accepted at both West Point and the Naval Academy, by the way. Could have had a full ride through college. But, you know what? I was very interested in girls at the age of 18, and I did not wish to go to a college where there were no girls. Imagine that. I was also accepted at MIT, Cal Tech, Stanford, Princeton, and Yale, but could not afford any of those places, sadly, given that my father had up and DIED right between my junior and senior years in high school, which had the unfortunate effect of causing my family's income to plummet, and yet the timing of which was such that college admissions offices would not take that fact into account. Such is life.
