    The authority of his office.
If he wants to go that route he can hire an attorney and go to court.
Why would pursuing a function of the DOJ be a personal matter for Rosenstein?

He would be the one held in contempt, not his office.

He hires his own defense. The power of his office doesn't enter the picture.

Haven't we been through this around 100 times in past couple of days already?

Rosenstein is sick and tired of Nunes and Co obstructing justice and wasting his time.

Did you forget the "Spygate" nothing-burger?
Did you forget about Devin's midnight run to White House to provide Captain Chaos (a SUBJECT of the investigation) with classified information?

Endless demands from an endlessly transparent group of buttholes who's only interest is the protection of their Orange God and undermining of this investigation.

They are sewer rats - the bunch of 'em.

Right, but that hasn't happened yet, and probably won't because of what I said before:

If they don't want to show him "X," why would they engage in an action that would give him a right to see "X"?

Exactly. That means he is talking out of his ass. He has no authority to tell Congress jack shit.

It's time for this little pencil head to go.

If not fired, which he should have been, I would love to see Congress simply eliminate the office of DAG.

This is not a court trial, it is not a Senate trial after articles of impeachment are filed, discovery is not warranted. As he would be held in contempt for not providing information requested what is there to discover.

He still gets to defend himself against such a thing, and his claim involves what Congress would do with the information. It's part of that process.
