Isn't that because of our distorted immigration system, that favors taking immigrants from 3rd world countries ? (exactly what Trump was talking about)

IOW, how many do come here, isn't necessarily the same as how many WANT to come here.

So the left is fine with immigrants sucking down welfare, unsurprisingly. Buffoons. Remaking America into a third world hole.

What's your opinion on Trump's bankruptcies or, in general, farm subsidies, government subsidies to corporations, or mortgage deductions?

    Boontito, the NW's favorite jokester,

Trump's bankruptcies are between him and his business partners. When you make investments, you take risks. Sometimes those risks pay off, sometimes not.

Farm subsidies are, for the most part, government policy to stabilize the agricultural markets. They arose out of the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s when farmers would rush to plant what made money the previous year, such that it would destroy the market for that crop. In the 1960s and 1970s, subsidies were expanded to preserve and conserve wetlands and environmentally sensitive spaces. They should probably be reevaluated.

Government subsidies to corporations increase production, encourage job growth, and boost the economic cycle. I don't see a down side.

Mortgage deductions encourage home ownership. Don't see a down side of that either.

Bankruptcy is a word the left carelessly uses to (as usual) disparage Trump. His so-called "bankruptcies" (Chapter 7), were not bankruptcies. They were Chapter 11's (reorganization). Big difference - but not to the left, whose mission it is to smear Trump, truth not a consideration.

Reorganization. Having reading comprehension problems ? Always better to find out what you're talking about BEFORE you post.

Chapter 13 is also a reorganization, not a liquidation bankruptcy, like chapter 7.

Granted that, reorganization is often referred to as a reorganization bankruptcy or a form of bankruptcy, but to call a Chapter 11 reorganization just by the word bankruptcy alone, is at best misleading, if not downright wrong.

They tend to invent machinery to do the difficult tasks. Long past the mule and cart.
