Opening the NATO summit in Brussels with a bang Wednesday, President Trump blasted Germany for a pipeline project that he said made Germany “totally controlled by Russia.”

“I think it’s very sad when Germany makes a massive oil and gas deal with Russia where we’re supposed to be guarding against Russia,” Mr. Trump said at a breakfast with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.

Europe plunged into energy crisis as Russia cuts off gas supply via Ukraine | Daily Mail Online

Russia cut gas exports to Europe by 60 per cent today, plunging the continent into an energy crisis 'within hours' as a dispute with Ukraine escalated.

This morning, gas companies in Ukraine said that Russia had completely cut off their supply.

Six countries reported a complete shut-off of Russian gas shipped via Ukraine today, in a sharp escalation of a struggle over energy that threatens Europe as winter sets in.

Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Romania, Croatia and Turkey all reported a halt in gas shipments from Russia through Ukraine.

Croatia said it was temporarily reducing supplies to industrial customers while Bulgaria said it had enough gas for only 'for a few days' and was in a 'crisis situation'.
That number of 60% was given by Daily Mail without any corroboration...back in 2015.

Putin cut the supply was not to punish Europe, it was to keep the Ukraine from siphoning off gas reserves. Russia re-routed the supply through old Soviet pipelines going through Turkey. That caused the disruption. Now Putin is building a new more direct route to Europe.

Russia is Germany's Saudi Arabia. We take the Saudi's shit because we need the oil. The Middle East has that premium sweet crude America can not produce enough of and America needs for our manufacturing. That is why Trump called the Crown Prince begging that SA increase oil production to cover US's needs and to reverse high gas prices here in the states.

The US nor Germany are energy independent. The US being less dependent on foreign oil is a GOP myth ...that proves out 100 ways false but is never noticed the GOP rank and file.

How does this make any sense?
NEW JERSEY: President Donald Trump lashed out at OPEC with a warning to stop manipulating oil markets and piled pressure on US ally Saudi Arabia to raise supplies to compensate for lower exports from Iran.
Trump said in a tweet on Saturday that Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud had agreed to produce more oil.

The White House later walked back the president's comments, saying the king had said his country could raise oil production if needed.

On Sunday, in an interview with Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo," Trump reiterated his call on Saudi Arabia to raise production to a new record, arguing that it should help the United States lower fuel prices since Washington is helping Riyadh in its struggle against Tehran.

"Don't forget the one negative to the Iran deal is that you lose a lot of oil, and they got to make up for it. And who is their big enemy? Iran. OK. You think of it. Iran is their big enemy, so they are going to have to do it," Trump said.

It's like his brain is disconnected from reality. He has caused Iran's slummping oil exports.

This is how bad this Forbes analyist got it..

Trump Ditches The Iran Nuclear Accord -- Here's What It Means For Oil

Read the backstory but here is my highlight:

If Trump has been listening to his oil guru Harold Hamm, he’d know that it won’t be long before the U.S. could replace a big chunk of Iran’s product with domestic crude. America’s own oil production is on track to hit a record 11 million bpd within a year, with exports already at 2.3 million bpd. Oil and gas consultancy Rystad sees the potential for U.S. oil output to grow beyond 18 million bpd in the coming decade.

we are awash in domestic crude yet the global price for oil does not take into account US production. Our refineries are a max output and more unsold US oil is not being processed.

Oh, BTW Iran is a member of OPEC.

There is also the fact that Germany, along with others are not paying what they agreed to.

This is the one thing Trump has done I agree with.

Smart people have watched the anger grow in Trade Agreements. They watched their factories go over seas.

Granted we gained from many of those agreements, but, unless Democrats understand why this 40 year anger in many workers caused them to believe a lying Con man like Trump they are going to lose.

They lost good paying jobs, could not find another. Had companies use the threat of sending jobs in order to cut wages.

We can blather all we want about how great Trade bills are, these angry people do not care. They want action.

Trump going over seas and accosting those Wealthy countries for not paying their share is exactly what those angry people want to hear. They are tired of being victims. And, the left needs to understand this. They are tired of hearing about the poor Special Interests who are really not that poor any more.

They are saying, What about me?

I can't concern myself with what people believe of what Trump tells them. If Trump supporters were honest in their assessments of Trump, they too would see his promises are bigger than his bite.

Trump creates the problem to sell you the cure.

If we were to have polled the every American of voter age 5 years ago...what percentage would have even mentioned NATO not paying their fair share as in their Top Ten?

I will not concern myself with what angers Trump supporters. I have to believe that a majority to voting Americans care for so much more than NATO concerns.

US manufactures are starting to see price increases in the material they purchase due to tariffs. In Sept Trump plans to place 4x more the tariffs now in effect.

I hope the GOP is still pushing NATO concerns in Nov.

And somehow, you and him will make this a big win for Trump. Because... bubble.

We should concern ourselves, they put Trump in the WhiteHouse and Republicans in Congress!

Of course Trump is wrong in many things. He is a despicable man. But Democrats ignoring the anger allowed trump to feed it.

Democrats have nothing to be arrogant at this time. Keep in mind what I have been posting.

I am going to add a fact to my post. The other Countries began to pay more thanks to Bill Gates and President Obama.

But still have not met their share.
