It has to be recent Presidents as we only live so long. In this one the Millennials went for Obama and I suspect on the older generation many went for Reagan. That is what makes this poll interesting is it factors in only those Presidents you have experienced. You have to expect presidents from other generations to drop off the chart in living memories and newer presidents to get more votes. Just an interesting statement on today's population.

Poll: Obama tops list ranking best president in Americans' lifetime
Clinton was a better President, Obama was a better man however, I like them both equally for different reasons.

I wasn't politically active then. Did Clinton inherit the same shit storm Obama did? What did Clinton accomplish that was comparable to the ACA?

That the ACA is a running joke of a disaster never crosses the mind of regressives.

Not a surprise. Most of those millennials only lived as aware adults through the last three Presidents. As such, the results are skewed towards Obama. If you take the wider sample of people who lived through Presidential administrations over the past 5 decades, Reagan wins hands down. It's also interesting to see that Kennedy and Roosevelt placed so low among those that lived during their Presidencies.
If people lived to be 150 it would still be FDR, Obama, Clinton, Reagan...

The ONLY Presidents who inherited shit-storms even remotely comparable to what faced Mr. Obama were Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Clinton didn't really inherit much of a shit-storm at all. He inherited an economy that had only just come out of a mild recession, and with a large budget deficit, but other than that.....the country was at peace, the Cold War was abruptly ending, and America could look forward to a 'peace dividend'.

Reagan inherited a bad economy, too, but it was a very DIFFERENT kind of 'bad economy' than what Obama inherited. Reagan inherited an economy with high inflation, and we KNOW how to stop high inflation: just stop printing so much money, stupid! And that is exactly what Paul Volcker was ALREADY doing, as Reagan took office. Obama inherited a world economy on the verge of a deflationary collapse, very similar to the Great Depression of the 1930s. MUCH MUCH tougher to get out of.

Sheesh. American healthcare was ALREADY in a full-blown CRISIS.....BEFORE Obama took office. Which is WHY healthcare was such a big issue in the 2008 campaign. DUH! DUH!

Really? How much monetary stimulus did Reagan receive? What did the FED balance sheet look like under Reagan?

What happened to the FED balance sheet under Obama? How much monetary stimulus did Obama receive?
