Hmm...I expected GHW Bush to be more popular.

Well, in MY case, I would say Abraham Lincoln.

OK, no. That was a joke. I'm not THAT old.

But, in MY case, I would say Dwight D. Eisenhower. I do think that, overall, I would rank him as the best post-WWII President. I'll give Obama second place.

I think this exposes age differences. The older retired people may have split their vote between Bush and Reagan for conservatives. Middle age may have gone more for Clinton and Obama. The younger ones polled for Obama at over 60%.

The key is that they rated within their own lifetime. Interesting poll.

    Ms. Minotaur,

Not a surprise. Most of those millennials only lived as aware adults through the last three Presidents. As such, the results are skewed towards Obama. If you take the wider sample of people who lived through Presidential administrations over the past 5 decades, Reagan wins hands down. It's also interesting to see that Kennedy and Roosevelt placed so low among those that lived during their Presidencies.

That's a tough question since all of them had them had bad points. But I'll have to go with Clinton. Not great, but good. Obama runs a close second. Again, not great, but good. JFK did some really good things, but some not so good things. LBJ did some good things, but some not so good things. The only Republican president that I think was okay is GHW Bush. Reagan's awful things outweighs any good he might have done and any good things, which were actually pretty considerable that Nixon did was waaaaaaaaaay outweighed by the bad things. Eisenhower was okay. He'd be considered an extremist lefty today, lol!

Not that complicated most of Reagan and Bush Sr. poll people are already dead or have forgotten their own names. Obama had a distinct edge because (a) his polled folks are alive and (b) they are not dead.

    I did not say that.
